My uneducated guess is that it has to do with the display screen, and not the effects. But please, by all means, flick that switch. Let the world know!

Excellent work. I can’t recommend another octave fuzz. I only know the superfuzz and the fuzzyfoxx. But a cool mod to the super fuzz is to replace the mid switch with a pot. So instead of scooped or not, you can find a few spots in between. Anyway. Great tiny build.

Thanks for the detailed write up. I’ve built a few GPCBs, and I always change the CLR resistor. Those led’s are too bright. So much so, that when it’s on, I can’t see where the knobs are set. Just sayin.

Phaser after delay is how I like to modulate. I love the Circulator. But a moonshot tremolo could also work for some crazy waves. As for 2: Boost. I like the Amentum. Because it’s clean. Also… the green ringer is petite. Consider stuffing it into a 1590b with the fuzz face. They are both...

To answer the question: I don’t know yet. So far… Mercurial, which is an excellent sculpting tool. Can be very clean. Great with other drives and fuzzes. Crackle Jack, small and powerful. Can fit in enclosures easily with other pcbs. Fun to stack. Even with another boost. Or another crackle...

I just realized that I forgot to mention that, in the photo of the gut shot, the order of the boards is a bit different. The switches of the Trumpeter are mounted to the pcb, the pots are wired. So the Trumpeter is in the middle. I hope that helps.

A very subtle difference can be heard between the two positions. If I recall, I found that at much higher volumes, it was more noticeable. Or maybe with a fuzz in front, and at higher volumes..?.? Good luck.

The MXR knob is my go to knob of choice. I find they are the easiest to see, AND the easiest to turn with my toes. I play and gig barefoot, or at least in socks.

I’ve been pondering the same situation. CAN a 9.1v be used as a substitute? As in, the circuit needs a minimum of 8.2v. So any thing higher is okay. Or is it a big NO, only 8.2v can be used to avoid catastrophe.
