    Attenuator for 1968 Champ

That one from Carl's looks like it uses the same L-pad from the article I posted. The DIY article also adds a selectable cap/treble bleed, which makes me wonder if Carl's uses a non-selectable one, or is it just the L-pad? Do you have a gut shot of it? For science.

    Attenuator for 1968 Champ

One to look it is the Swart Night Light or Night Light Jr. Those seem to be designed specifically for small amps like Champs. Not sure about sub 4ohm speakers, but you could contact them. Also, you could try to build your own. Amp Mods (robrobinette.com) DIY Workshop: How to build...

    Beginner looking for advice

If it's your first time and you're unsure what to do, start with a kit, specifically one that has good instructions. I started with some GGG kits. After a couple of those I had the confidence to source my own parts and use tagboards, etc. The Stewmac kits have pretty thorough instructions...

SOLVED Tommy III - hums and squeals

Did you reflow the middle pin on the A500K jack. That one looks suspect, but could just be the picture. What's up with the clipping switch. Mounted on the opposite side of the board?

Advice and recommendations need- what pedal is my customer looking for?

Lightspeed is great but I don't think it fits what they're asking for. I was thinking crunchbox deluxe, but that's more gain they want. I haven't tried an OD-3 but agree from the descriptions I've heard about it, it would likely make a good match.

Will this work as a stand alone buffer?

2n3904 has an odd pinout? The ones I've used had the same pinout of most BJTs (with the exception of bc549s--now those have the odd pinouts).

Unable to get jfet voltage low enough

I've build the BSIAB2 which is a very similar circuit, but used 2n5457s. If you have some to try, pop 'em in and see if they can be biased.

For this they're the same. The Vcc- in most pedal circuits is ground. I don't think those ICs would be the issue.
