    PedalPCB Spirit Box build

Well in a larger enclosure you could have 2 sets of external control with a simple stomp to switch from one set to the other allowing you to set 2 different sounds (reverb/trippy) and quickly switch between them... BTW, very nice build !

The most impressive AI work I have seen is this... https://thispersondoesnotexist.com/ All pictures here are people picture generated, if I remember correctly, through an adversarial network where on AI networks generate an image and another AI network critics it, which for the first AI...

I had a conversation with an AI....

When I ask to do it for me, it responds as follow: I would be happy to help you troubleshoot your pedal! However, as an AI model, I don't have physical access to your pedal, so I would need some more information from you in order to help. And then it proceeds to makes steps recommendation...

I had a conversation with an AI....

I'm not worried about AI taking my job, however I look forward to AI taking over some of the most mundane tasks I have to deal with. This way it would allow me to focus at what I'm really good at... However this AI engine is fairly impressive in its ability... one of the fun thing to do is to...

I had a conversation with an AI....

So I was fooling around with ChatGPT and drifted on the subject of building pedals. For fun I ask if it could help me troubleshoot a pedal... Here's the answer: I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot your effect pedal! Here are a few steps you can take to try and diagnose the problem: Check...

    UPS v. DHL (Tayda Shipping)...

DHL is amazingly fast and efficient to ship from Tayda to Canada. On average, my order took 4 days or less to be delivered. However, their recent change in broker fees policy is just not making it justifiable... I'll wait an extra 3 or 4 days to save the 90$ surcharge they hit me with last time.

    UPS v. DHL (Tayda Shipping)...

I haven't order from Tayda for a while, but my last experience with DHL was a non-sense, you can read about it here: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/psa-dhl-new-extra-charges.13105/ I still don't know what I'll do for my next order...

SOLVED Boneyard Delegate not doing much compressing

For the record, Chuck and I have connected in DM and I know he didn't mean to offend me and he knows I was not offended and didn't report the message. Whoever did so, if possible can revoke the report.

SOLVED Boneyard Delegate not doing much compressing

Well I know my English isn't perfect, but really ? Anyway, let's try this again: In both case here, they report an LDR that measure above the 500K specs of the GL5516. How does this impact the pedal functionality ? Second question was, does the speed (response time) of the LDR impact the...

How do you install your footswitches ? What to do with the various rings ?

I like the white washer, they provide a compression piece to keep the nut tighten under vibration and usage of the switch, plus it stops me from scratching my enclosure with my wrench or sockets... Anyone who dismiss the white washer are just pedal snobs...:ROFLMAO:

SOLVED Boneyard Delegate not doing much compressing

I'm curious, as always... Does the dark resistance value been above 500K dark has an impact on the circuit ? I also think I read something about the speed of the LDR going from high resistance to low also had an impact on the compression, is this correct ?

    SOLVED Caesar Chorus (help!)

Does switching the shape on and off does anything ? that would be a definitive that they work if you hear a tone change.

    SOLVED Caesar Chorus (help!)

Looking at the schematic I would say that D1 and D2 can't really be reverse. They are in parallel, so one way or the other as long as they are not both the same (reversed to each other) would be the same. As for lighting, I would guess there isn't enough current for them to light on, but...

    SOLVED Caesar Chorus (help!)

But I bet you do so after testing the pedal ;) I sometime tack mine on the middle leg just to secure them. having only one leg soldered make them easy to swap if you ever want to. Having all 3 legs soldered makes it nearly impossible to remove without cutting the legs off. Well with my skills...

    SOLVED Caesar Chorus (help!)

At first look I couldn’t find anything obvious, however here’s a few observations: - I notice you have socketed your transistor but then soldered them in the socket. That’s not necessary, the great thing about sockets is that it allows you to swap your transistors if the pedal doesn’t work. Now...

I took a shot at point to point

Good habit are hard to lose ! TBH, my confidence level of it to work was rather low. So with socketing I could make sure my pins were respecting the schematic.
