[SOLVED] JamMan Xt Solo power supply replacement question

I just received the power supply replacement. It's a regular 9V power supply, with an adaptor to fit the JamMan DC jack. I just tried it and it seems that everything is working correctly. Thank you for your help !

Oh ? I didn't know this could work too. I only have acrylic paint though... I'll give it a try someday if the occasion presents itself. Thanks for the tip !

About the Pro-cessor, I chose board mounted jacks, but i would choose the offboard wiring if i had to do it again. I really struggled to fit everything in the box because of the board mounted jacks. I remember i almost gave up, with drops of sweat running down my forehead. A real nightmare...

[SOLVED] JamMan Xt Solo power supply replacement question

Thank you so much for your help ! I do have the Manual and the box and everything. I ordered some power supply replacement after some online research. It's a PS0920DC-01. If the DC connector plug isn't right, i will cut it off and use the old one instead. Thanks again !

Should I let my pregnant wife help me populate PCBs?

Caps, resistors, sockets, jacks and pcb are probably safer than pots, but i wouldn't touch any sensitive part of my body after touching those, without washing my hands first. I often notice that my fingers are sticky after handling potentiometers. They probably are covered with some sort of...

Yes, it's an on-off status led. It turns off when the effect is switched off. I had to add a led resistor because the first led i used has been fried the first time i tried the circuit. Same for the Black Eye leds, they are on-off status led, except i didn't need any extra led resistors.

No, i didn't build the Y cables. I just ordered some cheap ones from thomann. This is an amazing looper, probably among the best projects available in this category. I was greatly impressed by the project itself and the detailed instructions. Schalltechnik_04 is probably among the most...

Here are a few interesting builds. Nothing went wrong for once, they aren't the easiest builds but with good instructions and a little experience, everything went smoothly. Let's start with the Omnilooper from Schalltechnik_04 : https://schalltechnik04.de/en/instructions/omnilooper Best...

Everything went smoothly, worked perfectly the first time i tried, and it sounds amazing ! I was extra careful with the tube daughter-board's connectors and their orientation, thanks to my previous experience with the Black Eye. Thank you very much for this very interesting circuit. Glory to...

[SOLVED] JamMan Xt Solo power supply replacement question

Thank you very much for your exhaustive reply ! Lots of good ideas. Not sure how to check if it's class 2 and if there are "ferrite choke" but i have another similar loop station from boss, the RC-3, and it works with a standard boss power supply. Do you think it would be really risky to...

[SOLVED] JamMan Xt Solo power supply replacement question

Hello, The XT Solo Loop Station power supply just died. it was old, i might as well buy a new one. The problem is that the DC power input jack on the JamMan is slightly smaller than the usual ones. I can't use my other power supplies, their connectors are slightly too big and won't fit. This...

    Top Five

I beg your pardon ? Stockade ? i was simply wondering if it was the ultimate TS style circuit. I' m not mentioning it as part of the list. I thought it was obvious. ADHD and Thermionic ? I was merely asking an innocent question : did i mention them ? No, i didn't. Frequency Interchange ...

oh...? is it the Tso or the Delegate, i am confused ? Are you really mentioning a circuit based on rumors and hearsays ? Is it even allowed now ? And in number 2 position, nothing less ? And the other members are going to let it fly like that ? Am i the only one who dare protest against these...

    Buzzaround

Nice one, the artwork is very elegant. It looks like a cloud or some smoke taking the shape of a bird skull ? I wonder if it's perfectly safe to solder both jack's ground to the board with jumpers ? If the jack's screws get a bit loose with time, they might start turning inside their holes...

Blu Tack vs Blue Painters Tape

I wouldn't have guessed Blue Tak could be used in electronics. It's mainly used to stick some reminders, pictures and posters on the walls around here. When i need to keep the parts steady to solder them, i just press them against the back of the enclosure. I always take the height of the...

SOLVED Deadend FX Mangel Wurzel No chorusing (Ibanez RC99 Rotary Chorus clone)

Oh ? I guess the pointy ends of the soldering pads can pierce through the tape, but if we use several layers, 3 or 4 layers of tape, aren't we safe then ? On boss pedals, there are some thin plastic sheet between the back of the enclosure and the pcb. Maybe some similar material could be...

SOLVED Deadend FX Mangel Wurzel No chorusing (Ibanez RC99 Rotary Chorus clone)

I think it's good practice to reflow our soldering joints after cutting the legs. I just built a Schalltechnik_04 omnilooper, excellent instructions, they always insist on that point.

    DRIVE 55 (GrandLaff Di-Anemic overdosin’)

No, it's quite common really. But it's a bit familiar, the kind of expression that can be a social marker. Refined and sophisticated people wouldn't say it everywhere, only in private. It's an old and popular expression. The way the sentence is built, it feels like XIXth century. Edit : if you...
