Clarification Of Something Very Obvious? (Baron Samedi Fuzz)

Fun project! To expand on @giovanni’s advice, here is some information about wiring a potentiometer as a variable resistor: https://www.build-electronic-circuits.com/potentiometer/ With just a potentiometer, you’ll end up with a resistance range of 0 ohms up to the potentiometer’s value. If...

SOLVED Caesar Chorus No Audio But LEDs All Work

One more thing- on the Caesar there’s often a very narrow range on the trim that pot where things work. Unlike a lot of pedals, on this one when the trim pot isn’t in the operational range the pedal doesn’t work at all. Good luck!

    PedalPCB 5-Loop True Bypass Switcher

Good question! I believe only the MIDI in jack would need to be isolated, right? Unsure though. Maybe the input would be grounded to the box, and the rest of the jacks are isolated?

    PedalPCB 5-Loop True Bypass Switcher

Yeah, 1/8” trs like the MIDI enabled Boss pedals. MIDI is a serial protocol that’s supposedly pretty easy to implement if the microcontroller has a UART. Here’s what I had in mind, though it could probably be simplified: One microcontroller for the MIDI interface, and then a separate...

    PedalPCB 5-Loop True Bypass Switcher

For a while I’ve been contemplating building a midi controlled relay bypass daughterboard to go inside of the stomp box itself. The idea is to have a midi controller swap presets to turn the stomp boxes on and off automatically, while retaining the functionality of the footswitches and LEDs on...

Nontransparent Booster pedal for Strat and Tele

I really should give the broadcast another shot.

4 Tap DC Converter/Isolator Mockup Pedal - Arriving Soon!

Any isolated power supply where I don’t have to deal with mains voltage would be rad.

    Nobelium preamp/DI

    I honestly don’t mind 🙂.

4 Tap DC Converter/Isolator Mockup Pedal - Arriving Soon!

So potentially several of these could be powered by a 5amp supply like this one? https://www.amazon.com/LeTaoXing-9V-Power-Supply-Transformer/dp/B08K2WJ31N/

Nobelium - tube bass preamp project

Interesting tidbit: after chatting with @vigilante398 I’m actually running mine with V2 pulled because I’m not using the 1/4” out. The current draw is down to about 340mA that way.

Nobelium - tube bass preamp project

FWIW the transformer and power section are the big difference between this and the Noble. I’ve played both, and I prefer the Nobelium. I think the transformer is what I like better about it. 🤷‍♂️

Nontransparent Booster pedal for Strat and Tele

I’d probably go for an EP booster. https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/pcb398/

    Nobelium preamp/DI

My first tube project! I’ve used the Nobel preamp/DI live for the past year or so, so I was very interested to put this project from Conspiracy to Commit electronics together. I hear very little difference between the two and might actually prefer the Nobelium slightly. It came together...

    Favorite hard clipping overdrive?

It’s similar to a Rat with a boost in the front: https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/informant/

    Favorite hard clipping overdrive?

Klon perhaps? Or possibly an Expandora. I’m probably one of the few that likes the KoT/PoT’s hard clipping mode, but that’s an option. +1 to the DRV as well. Really just depends on what your friend is looking for.

Six String Stinger (Vertex Steel String)

I remember hating mine too. It sold pretty quickly at the local shop where I consign stuff though.

Best diy compressor for telecaster/chicken pickin?

Dynacomp style OTA compressors are what comes to mind. For DIY I’d recommend either the PPCB Engineer’s Thumb or the Madbean Kompromat.

Conspiracy to Commit Electronics - Formal Intro

This is what it’s about 👆. Plus the ability to customize if you so desire. Thanks so much! Just ordered a couple, and I can’t wait to get them on my gigging boards. My “real” one is going to stay in the home studio from now on 😃
