My first Vero Amptweaker Tight Metal in a 1590b

It definitely took some foresight. I did end up having to move the dc jack from the top to the side. I don’t think I could have crammed another 2 wires under there plus i wasn’t so sure about added noise if I were to do that so I played it safe

My first Vero Amptweaker Tight Metal in a 1590b

I’m with ya there. I couldn’t find any out there. I found some one sided boards I could etch but that’s as close as I’ve got.

Thanks. It is a noisy little cuss when you start turning things up good thing for the gate

My first Vero Amptweaker Tight Metal in a 1590b

I thought for sure I was gonna be troubleshooting this thing but it fired right up on the first go. I didn’t even test it before I boxed it. This pedals quite the beast. I must say, pcb’s are much nicer. Now I’ve got to do the box. I usually finish the boxes first before I do the boards but I...

    125b Pedal Risers Anyone?

You could try moving your in and out jack holes closer to the face of the pedal. There should be plenty of wiggle room. I use 1590b boxes with too mounted jacks for most of my builds which requires me to move the jacks closer to the face and I’ve had no issues

How can I tell if this is center negative? Also what lug is what on this thing?

If you use that jack you’ll need to isolate it from the enclosure. It’s best to use plastic jacks seeing how pedals are wired center negative. With this jack the positive sleeve of the jack will short with the metal enclosure. To find the center pin terminal I’d just use your multimeter. It’s...

    Ember Boost 1uF

I have an Ember Boost on deck soon. When removing C19 do I need to jump it or just leave out completely. I’ll socket them regardless

best jacks and dc power inputs

I second what Chuck said. I find myself using Stompbox.com more and more. The customer service is top notch. Ross has actually dug through bins for me trying to find particular brand items. Almost to the point of being a one stop shop for me

    6 band enclosure test run

Some more pics in case anybody wants to go this route. Once you do it a couple of times it actually gets quite easy. Just can’t rush it. It took me a little less then an hour to do the four slots

    6 band enclosure test run

Thanks. I’m still not ready to do the final enclosure yet. I did another test run this morning where I pre drilled the pilot hole by hand first. Then I lowered the mill bit in and proceeded. It went much better as long as you drop the bit in perfect. If I had a better quality drill press without...

    Triangulum poop?

Sounds to me like there may be a problem somewhere. The Triangulum definitely has an eq curve that is not for everyone or some amps. That being said, mine is not overly noisy and doesn’t cut out or get microphonic. I’ve a/b’d against my Fortin 33 and they sound virtually identical to my ears

    Mahayana Drive Sicilian Style

That was a big thing. This guys kind of picky. He knows what he wants. We put 4 different styles and colors on it and the yellow won. Cream in the same style was a real close second. He’s gonna soak these in real black coffee for a while and make appear more vintage. Thank you for the compliment.

    6 band enclosure test run

The movable vise makes it pretty easy. 4 slots took about an hour. I moved it along nice and slow

    6 band enclosure test run

Tried out my makeshift end mill this morning and overall I think the results were pretty good. If I had to do it on a regular basis I would definitely upgrade from the harbor freight drill press. Too much play in the chuck when doing the plunge hole. It’s fine when it’s in the groove but a...
