Green Meanie (Little Green Scream Machine) Build Out

From Michigan?!?? Uses a an LM313H and MA856, but on the graphics, you put "313" and "586", which the 586 would be in err and BOTH are Area Codes in Michigan metro Detroit!! :O lol

Simplest relay bypass possible - no microcontroller (latching) - HELP

I think I may have figured it out after playing around for about 4hrs during the Super Bowl! There were a few problems...the 1/4" cables seemed to have problems, so cut and soldered it myself. I had a couple cables hooked up to the power supply, but one, I had modified and positive and negative...

Simplest relay bypass possible - no microcontroller (latching) - HELP

Thanks soo much for the feedback guy. I'm making breakfast, have grocery shopping to do, then will delve back into this and based on your feedback. I'll also look at like I said, some ideas I have, like the diode across the coil and possibly a cap (.047uF) like done on amps with channels relay...

Simplest relay bypass possible - no microcontroller (latching) - HELP

no. there were 3 issues... 1. is the grounding hooked up right and all jacks connected and then go back to the bard ground? Wondering if there is a ground loop somewhere. 2. the popping when engaged/disengaged 3. If you watch the video, even though the FX IN and OUT were jumped, there was a...

Simplest relay bypass possible - no microcontroller (latching) - HELP

I just looked at Buggs' schematic and the footswitch interrupts the connection between NE555 pin 2, and one side of R3 (100k resistor) and positive side of C1 (1u) cap. not sure where you're seeing a switch hooked up to ground?!??

Simplest relay bypass possible - no microcontroller (latching) - HELP

"Why are you using an LED where the transistor should go?" ....because that is how the circuit is set up and direction from Buggs, that if using an LED, pull the transistor and put in that place to ground! It's labelled on the back of the PCB "A" for Anode and "K" for Cathode!! "I would try it...

Simplest relay bypass possible - no microcontroller (latching) - HELP

Ok Buggs, built up a completely new board (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NzGZUeRNpwnt1S9-dPEFQQZZroIboLlc/view?usp=sharing) as I originally purchased 8 boards from ya. This time, nothing socketed, so all components directly soldered. I'm powering the unit with an MXR Iso-Brick...

Simplest relay bypass possible - no microcontroller (latching) - HELP

    k. Thanks soo much for getting back. Let me know when email is current. Thanks. Yeah, it's Saturday, so after breakfast, I'm going to be getting on this first-thing and can report back. Thanks for letting me know the forum is a primary place to post for support also. Yeah, that's what I...

Simplest relay bypass possible - no microcontroller (latching) - HELP

Having issues with these boards! I purchased a bunch of these from Buggs for making an 8 channel strip true bypass looper utilizing clickless momentary trigger. I'm getting a a "click" "click" when it is engaged or disengaged! I'm using the Latching version and hooking it up like Buggs said...

    PAL800 v3: the switches

I just heard about this pedal and reviewed multiple videos tonight. I found the pedal sound VERY good. The one thing in the V3 I did notice was that the notes still tended to die out. I would prefer them to ring indefintely in the Boost-mode. The information from the site says 6dB of boost...

Cepheoid CE-2 Chorus - Service Notes - Adjustments

Well, I got the pedal built, but not working nor getting anything that resembles the Service Notes response off of the Emitter of Q5 (probably because not working)! Soo, I'll need to go thru it hieristically and see what's up. I was able to bridge the pads on the right side for the 3101/3007...

Cepheoid CE-2 Chorus - Service Notes - Adjustments

That's +3dBm. [dBm] [Watts] [Volts]rms [Volts]p [Volts]pp 3 0.200E-02 315.853 mV 446.616 mV 893.232 mV Ok. I'll set the audio frequency generator to ~315.853mV RMS. Thanks Buggs. Using the orignal ICs (3101/3007)and zener. Just got a magnifier yesterday to get the pads. Good Lord...

Cepheoid CE-2 Chorus - Service Notes - Adjustments

"Emitter of Q5." - Thank you for the confirmation! Stickman 393 - Welcome! Now, just to understand what "+3 dBm" coorelates to?!?? Is it .100V, 1.00V? 1.2345V?!?? SO I can set my Audio Signal Generator to the appropriate amplitude.

Cepheoid CE-2 Chorus - Service Notes - Adjustments

In the BOSS Service Notes, they are measuring the emitter of Q3. What is the transistor on the PedalPCB that should be measured and as the BOSS uses 8 transistors (3 including Q3 that are 2SC732TM-GR and 5 that are 2SC945-P), but the PedPCB version only uses 5 and all are 2N5088! Please...

Cepheoid CE-2 Chorus - Service Notes - Adjustments

Thanks for the feedback. Oh yeah, I forgot about what the Service Notes and previous posting years ago said on the dials. They actually have the Rate off and Depth on full (see below). The BOSS CE-2 "Service Notes" has the dials set the same and Rate off and Depth on full (see attached)...

Cepheoid CE-2 Chorus - Service Notes - Adjustments

There is a trimmer on the board, bit NO information in the documentation sheet or online on how to adjust this!! :O I've been searching around and see in the Service Notes of the original CE-2, it says to apply a 200Hz +3dB since wave to the input and adjust the Q3 emitter (one of the...
