Yeah, very strange. The TL072’s I used on all three were from the same batch (presumably), as I ordered around 200 from TI.

Helped me tremendously on my 3rd XC build. First two were great, no issues with the TL072. For whatever reason I had a strong tick on 45 (I think it was 45). Took out the three TL072’s and threw in 3 LM358n’s and tick disappeared completely. Thanks again!!

Where did you get your 201’s?

If I remember correctly, you’re only biasing four out of the six(?) 201’s. I think the circuits pretty forgiving with somewhere between 4.5v-5.5v on the drain leg of each of the four -personal preference difference anyway.

I assumed it was meant to work in tandem with a driven amp or dirt pedal -to fatten up the tone. I didn’t realize that when I first tried it out into my clean channel and was very underwhelmed. Once I put a dirt pedal after the Bee it worked well.

100% Best 3pdt and price is right! I cannot feel any difference between that and the Gorva. Plus SBP are top notch folks.

There’s also TC1044SEPA -I believe it’s the same as SCPA, but better temperature tolerances. I’ve noticed the SCPA is out of stock in a lot of places, but was able to get a handful of SEPA’s from Qwest Components.

Anyone know why 16v is specified on the 2 100uf caps? Not sure I’ve seen that before. I typically use 35v caps -is there a particular reason it needs to be 16v? Many thanks!
