Cepheid Chorus - LEDs works and no chorus

I am not an expert myself having only built less than a dozen pedals but I can see several dodgy solder joints in your board. I'd try reflowing the board, maybe look up a couple of soldering tutorials. make sure there are no shorts and look up the several trouble shooting posts about this pedal...

    Caesar chorus rate LED

Wired the rate led and ground on the correct lugs and now it's working perfectly 👍🏻 Definitely a recommended mod for those annoyed by the always-on rate led

    Caesar chorus rate LED

Well I just noticed that I soldered ground and cathode to the wrong pads on the switch 🤦🏻 I haven't had time to fix it yet

    Caesar chorus rate LED

So basically how I wired it the first time right? Cathode straight to the middle lug of the 3pdt

    Caesar chorus rate LED

I wired the led cathode to the center lug on the 3pdt and left the sw pad on the board empty but I have a loud pop when I turn it on, and the led is flashing a little bit even when turned on. So I moved the wire to the SW pad and added a wire from middle lug to SW pad as well but nothing...

    Pcbguitarmania Flaming Space Ring

@Mentaltossflycoon i finished building my board and I noticed that the wormhole pot is giving an audible effect only in the last 15% of the rotation, is yours working this way as well? I'm asking because I also have some nasty ticking and whining when the pedal is bypassed so I also have to...

What made you a good guitar player?

I think I have a good sense of rhythm and a good ear it I absolutely lack in technique and especially theory... Is it too late to start studying something in my late 30s? I have always played by ear but it is starting to feel restricting I just want to learn some basics of theory to understand...

Get to the Choppa! - Chop Shop

I looooove my Chop Shop, lots of great sounds inside. I love to play with the dynamics. I almost never turn it off I did have to add a 10k resistor on the output as a pulldown resistor because it was popping, and I had to bias it around 6.5v to solve some oscillation

    Fancy Solder Sucker

I spent a couple of hours yesterday doing the same thing, salvaged everything from a Guitar mania PCB, even sockets, using my Engineer solder pump

Lightburn and a laser engraver question

Did you end up getting it? My wife is looking at a xtool D1 I think, so I could actually put some artwork on my pedals 😅

    Polarity protection diode substitution

I'll take another look inside Even without powering the circuit? I want to check with my little practice amp and with a buffer upfront Quick question, the diode I added on the 9v is protecting the polarity but on the + instead of the ground right? Yeah looking at the layout and at the schem...

    Polarity protection diode substitution

Thanks, it works but... If I leave it plugged in with no power and activate it, for some reason some signal passes through, and it sounds like a very voltage starved distortion... Where is power coming from if it's not connected? Through the guitar cables?

    Polarity protection diode substitution

It does go to ground I'm following this Effectslayout schematic: So I could add a 1n914 between +9v and the + of the DC jack?

    Polarity protection diode substitution

I was trying to desolder components from my old Speaker Cranker perfboard build and I broke the 1n4001 polarity protection diode in half I only have 1n914s at the moment, can I use one of those? Or can I just jumper it since I will be using it with my power supply?

I just saw the Collector/emitter demo... Dang that's a good sounding muff 🤤

    Aion PCB's

I too am always looking for something like this, especially for new circuits. I was looking for a Big Muff with mids control to maybe replace my Deluxe Sovtek BM and if it wasn't for it being mentioned in this thread, I wouldn't know that PCB was one

    Help identifying resistor

Yes I definitely need a better one, this one can't even check for continuity It does measure HFE though

    Help identifying resistor

Thanks, I did look into one of those but I didn't know which way to start reading the strips (first time dealing with 0.4w resistors), and one of the red ones looked like purple to me under direct light. In the picture it looks red

    Help identifying resistor

My crappy multimeter only goes up to 2000k so I can't test if these are actually 2.2m resistors Is the colour code correct?
