DEMO krvsh (Parasit Studio Beverly BitCrusher)

I had to reflow mine a couple times. It seemed to want to have it's legs shorted together

DEMO krvsh (Parasit Studio Beverly BitCrusher)

I'm always drawn to build bit crushers, so here's this one. Definitely a step up from the analog takes on this effect type. Much cleaner audio, and wider range of sample rate reduction. Uses an ADC0804 for it's crushing power. Only mod is an increased R12 (33k to 100k), as stock it was well...

DEMO fright (Madbean StageFright / Maestro MP-1)

If there was another 6(/7) stage phaser to rival the Phase II / DuoPhase, this is it. Huge range of timbres and speeds, nothing to bias and no hard to source parts. Only mod was bringing the internal depth pot to the face of the enclosure. Board is laid out awesomely, and the build docs are...

DEMO Fuzzdog Model T (Jfet Sunn thing)

Built this thing years ago, and just now getting to boxing it up after replacing the J201s. Only mods are to further differentiate the Brite from the Normal channel- C11 reduced from 220u to 22u, and C3 increased to 100n. C10 is the 220u I pulled from C11 🤷‍♂️ Things okay, I guess. Doesn't...

    DEMO oct klang (Octaclang)

Only tweaks are 1N5817s for the octave, LM307 chip, and a killable octave. Transformer is one of the Octavia dealios from SmallBear This thing's loud and fun, and surprisingly has a huge variety of nasty tones. Doesn't reliably do the flutey thing that a lot of other octaves do, but it does do...

DEMO perced harmz (Soviet Percolation Station)

Built mostly stock, except for the semiconductors. Used an IT308 for Q1, and a toggle in Q2 to switch between a germ GT404 and a silicon KT315 (I have the specs for each of the germs written down, but I'll have to dig it up). Diodes are some high vf germs I got from SmallBear, I think. Measure...

    DEMO Jimi Lee SCOD

Populated this one a while back, but just getting around to boxing it. Only mod is a toggle to swap out the C3 bypass cap from 100u to 1u for brighter tones. The board is wonderfully laid out, and it was cake putting it together and getting it going. That said, not a huge fan of the circuit-...

DEMO Dead Heavy Dirt (modified Blue Clipper)

Built on Moonn Clippity Clop board, basically none of the values are stock- C1 is 100n R1 is 470k R2 is 1M R3 is 220R R4 is 100k R5 is 4.7k R6 is 10k C2 is 47u C3 is 10u C4 is 3.9n Diodes are red LEDs I've also added a bridged t filter between the LPF and lug 3 of the volume pot, values being...

    DEMO Stripped Dream Fuzz

C11 is 150n to move the scoop a little further downward. Chips are LF353 and LM301 (w/ 100pf comp cap on back of board). Sustain fixed to max, Tone pot is internal. Diodes are KD522B. Box is by Missouri Electrical Box Company. Simple, classic, heavy. My favorite Muff variant

    Byzantium Question # 3?

For caps, you'll want series not parallel to get to 7.5pf. It'll effect the clock speed, but not by much. I've used 10pf in this spot when I've built it 20k will work just fine, it's not terribly fussy about its biasing

DEMO Low Tide (not-so Shallow Water)

Basically just a lap joint, I typically use them on the backs of the boards / trimmed component leads

DEMO Low Tide (not-so Shallow Water)

It's not for everyone, but when testing parallel parts, I'll tack solder an SPDT and the additive part to the back of the stock component. If I like it, I'll remove the part and add the toggle. For this particular case, you can also just leave out the 220p, and dry fit a few values to see what...

DEMO Low Tide (not-so Shallow Water)

It doesn't effect the speed, it widens pitch shifting / depth. I didn't put it on a toggle in the big one because that one was for me, and I prefer the less subtle nature of the 470p

SOLVED Minnow Voltages wacky?- need a second set of eyes

Finally made some time today to get this sorted. Spent way too long doing continuity and audio probes to find out it was just a bad 3906 :ROFLMAO:

Leprechaun Regen switch + Intelligent Relay questions

    1) the lug labelled Tip Shunt is the tip switch 2) those are the exact momentary switches I use 3)here's how I've wired the intelligent relay to the Leprechaun in the past

Haven't yet. Might get back to it today

SOLVED Minnow Voltages wacky?- need a second set of eyes

Trimmers check out, though those wouldn't effect the envelope mode. All chips have been swapped and reseated. Replaced / tested all caps except those in the power section Also desoldered one leg of every resistor, and one was out of spec, but replacing it didn't change anything I need to run...

SOLVED Minnow Voltages wacky?- need a second set of eyes

    Pretty sure I've got a wrong resistor or two somewhere, but haven't tracked it down. Only sub is a 220r in R20. I get audio through, including LFO thumps, but is a heavily low passed signal, and definitely not working correctly IC1 0.03 0 0 -9 0 0 0 9.2 IC2 0.04 0 0 -9.01 -4.49 -1.05 -6.6...
