What about lead free solder and lead free HASL pads? Heretic? I used around 300gr lead free solder during the past years and it’s fine :) Lead free pads are more expensive so I get them with lead in the orders of JLCPCB

Solder flux can cause contact dermatitis that’s why people should wash their hands before using the restroom. The pensi touching was not meant as a joke. But as always it depends on the ingredients.

Everything that is not conductive will do. Clearcoating it would be best if you want to keep the look. Or do it like it should be done with every other electrical appliance and turn the power off before handling power cables ;-)

Your welcome. Finally I could help somone :-) I asked him and he told me that he though tit would fit. I wanted to play around with different led but have placed an order just today (another shop).

If manual is only noticable at the higher settings then try to put a small sheet of paper between the led and the resistor. Maybe the LED is too bright. I did it like this for LED4. Try it, doesn’t cost you anything...

and/or check the opamp. I had a nasty whine in a ts style od even in bypass and a switch from tl072ip to ne5523 solved the issue.
