I think diffused or not only matters if you are feeding the light into an LDR. These are clipping diodes so the color matters as they have different forward voltages, it will make the clipping asymmetrical, but diffused or clear doesn’t.

That’s a cool pedal. It hadn’t been on my radar but it sounds like something I would enjoy. I noticed many of the Aion builds take the narrow capacitors like that, on a few I have installed caps on the back to make it all fit.

I think some of the joints need to be reflowed. It’s looks like this one may not be making contact. I don’t think it’s D1-4.

I have dabbled with EasyEDA a bit and found it to be fairly intuitive to use. Your work is inspiring me to want to make some actual boards with it. I have only designed and made a 3PDT bypass so far. For your boards with the SMD components do you have them install them for you?

From the schematic C15 should be a 1n5(152) but those are pretty close so I’m guessing that’s not it. Everything else looked right. Did you ever go back and make sure the rotary was in the right spot? I think it should go in the square with the 2 next to it but @Robert would know for sure.

You have prolific with your own boards lately. I’m sure you have probably answered this before but which program are you using and how long do these take you to design?

My guess is the trimmer or socket.

Did you go back and adjust the bias? I’m not sure where that is located in the circuit but if it’s for the boost it could be the issue. Some circuits wont make a sound if the bias isn’t right.
