    FV-1 Stock and Binaura Question

No diagrams, and I don't know about stereo input, but I've got https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/unison-double-tracker-with-stereo-mod.26542/#post-344309 and https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/stereo-mod-for-unison-double-tracker-pythagoras.4138/ (the link from that previous post) as my notes...

    3 channel mixer layout

It was both schematics, actually. Literally the same link giovanni posted.

    3 channel mixer layout

I found the schematics here: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/photo-of-back-of-3-channel-mixer-splitter-pcb.25452/#post-324084 You can see which ones are which from the symbols, they're different. As a rule of thumb, all of the uF values are electrolytics, except 1uF can be either one. From...

    Redoing a Pedal

To add to what Cybercow said: Are you sure the circuit itself is fine, or could there be an issue there? If it's a custom PCB, are you sure the layout is fine? In general, troubleshooting a pedal is sort of a gamble, you spend X amount of time on it and you might hit the answer quickly, or it...

    What's on the workbench?

What is that? I couldn't find any one knob noise gates with that jack configuration with a quick look, there's a Gatekeeper pedal from Pigtronix but it has two pots? Edit: Stone Deaf Noise Reaper might fit the bill?

    Dudson Narrowcast: "White-Throated Overdrive" (w/gerber)

Build looks great! The Github page says "Dylan159 provides two schematics, a PNP and NPN version. This PCB is for the PNP version, and it sounds great, with a crunchy tube-like tone.", is that a typo since this seems to be the NPN version?

    💖 Stay Alive ✨ Top Five of '25 💖

I haven't really kept track of what I built and when, so I compiled some notes so I could answer this. Looks like I built 37 pedals in 2023, 21 in 2024 and just 16 this year. That being said, I have played too little to really get a solid top 5 going on, but here are the standouts: 1.) Fuzzhead...

    hydra delay

FWIW the FV1 is only available in SMD format so if you're a beginner it's probably better to get it pre-soldered.

    Where are people getting potentiometers?

How tricky is that approach? For something with 4 pots for example the "balance loose pots" approach seems the easiest, but for something with 6 pots or especially with ON/ON switches (since they never stand up completely straight) it can be finicky. So I'm wondering if installing the pots would...

    Where are people getting potentiometers?

Ahh right, I've never done that because I don't trust that they will fit. I balance the board with the unsoldered pots into the enclosure, and then solder the pots.

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

Without doing any research, I saw Matt Berry talking on That Pedal Show about how there are consumer reverb units that were intended for people to add their own reverb to music. So I'm taking a wild guess that it might be because they come originally from consumer audio where RCA cables were the...

    Do you have a one-knob TL071 boost?

I hadn't heard of that as a possible fix for switch pop, I'll keep that in mind (y)

    Death drive clipping options?

The Death Drive seems to be a FuzzDog PCB, which would be helpful to mention. But it's the same as other Life pedal clipping options it seems, one side is symmetrical, one side is asymmetrical (so one side of the waveform is clipped differently than the other), and middle is no clipping. As for...

    Red Big Muff sounds bad

It does sound a little bit sputtery to me, but I assume yours is even worse? A couple demos I checked: Nothing looks wrong from what I could see, but I only checked R4-5, R10-11 and R15-16, all the orientations and easy stuff like that. Soldering looks great, so my money is on a bad...

I'm not normally a huge fan of the hammered finishes, but the purple one looks great.

Chupacabra - Red Llama or no?

"The Chupacabra takes it's tonal inspiration by the biggest little band from Texas." is a bit of a stretch since it's just a Red Llama... That's what I don't like about their marketing. Although to be fair, it isn't as bad as I remembered now browsing the website, and if a component or two are...

Chupacabra - Red Llama or no?

Were there similar multi-Muff or TS pedals available before JHS? Sure could have been, I just don't know about them.

Chupacabra - Red Llama or no?

I was under the impression that pretty much all Mythos circuits are just other circuits with a new name slapped on it? At least JHS does pedals that weren't done before them, sure the TS/Muff multipedals aren't original as such, but those weren't available before. Or the mixer/tape deck style...

    Vtl5c10 alternatives

Isn't that more or less in the Xvive specs? https://eadn-wc04-3257698.nxedge.io/audio/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2021/11/Xvive-5C10-Data-Sheet.pdf I guess the Off resistance is much more than 400k resistance it says, but I don't think 400k or 20M makes much difference in our common use?

Awful waffle older version pcb - build doc needed

I'm sure @Robert can give you the real answers, but I found this https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/AwfulWaffle.pdf which at least shows the wiring diagram, which was the confusing part to me. The board is shaped differently too and I think some of the components might be moved around, so there...
