    Lazy Breadboard Modules [DEVELOPMENT]

Yeah, this really stems from my own laziness. I layed out a Rat on my own, first using DIY Layout Creator, then actually on a breadboard, and it worked first time, which was awesome, but laying out all the feedback components was a real killjoy for me. I think I'll spend a lot more time...

    Lazy Breadboard Modules [DEVELOPMENT]

One thing I think I've noticed already is the the input Caps in the OP-amp section doesn't have a path to ground.

    TO-5 Sockets

@jwin615 @Feral Feline I started a thread about the breadboard modules https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/lazy-breadboard-modules-development.27584/ Would love feedback and suggestions.

    Lazy Breadboard Modules [DEVELOPMENT]

I mentioned I was developing some lazy breadboard modules in another thread and there was some interest in the idea. I'm a pretty amateur designer so feedback and suggestions are welcome. I'll publish everything on my github so people can get involved and use the modules when they're done. I...

    TO-5 Sockets

Haha good. Cause I ordered some anyway in case they just sent you the wrong ones by mistake. Planning to use them on a lazy breadboard system I've been developing.

    TO-5 Sockets

    Good to know, thanks.

    TO-5 Sockets

From that actual listing? I'm just going by the datasheet that's on the listing. Couldn't find them on Tayda, would be happy for a link there also.

    TO-5 Sockets

Not sure what you mean? The measurements are exactly the same as you find inside the plastic encased headers.

Was thinking about this idea and found this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004707554342.html And a smaller quantity https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002830101899.html

    Overloader! (6 Transistor Big Muff)

Interesting. So it didn't sound as good if say all transistors were BC459s in the circuit?

    Overloader! (6 Transistor Big Muff)

    Why these particular transistor choices?

I'm combining 2 ground planes. Analog and Digital. What potential problems can happen?

I think it was this video that discussed digital and analogue ground design. At least a couple of his other mixed signal design videos have delved into this too I think

Equilux Mini (Spaceman Equinox) - Updated

Yup. That EQ curve is magic on guitar, gives you more of what you need, and less of what you don't.

    Where to get components

It's important to think about ratios in audio though, the difference between 250k and 500k would be quite noticeable, but the difference between 500k and 1M much less so.

    Where to get components

It looks like a tremolo effect where the LDRs are used to variably shunt signal to ground, I would say the difference between 500k and 1M is likely to be small in this circuit, though will probably affect slightly the perceived maximum "depth" of the effect.

    Where to get components

Maybe the GL5516 instead then? https://www.pedalpcb.com/product/a2002/ The tricky thing with the photo resistors is that the rise and fall time can also be different, but in a world of vanishing components you have to take what you can get sometimes or pay extortionate prices for NOS stuff.

    Transformers

The TY-141p may have a worse frequency response on paper, but based on the testing done by some people over at GroupDIY the 141p extends right down to 20hz and up to 20khz without much distortion, as long as you're sensible with the impedance. One person has used it as the input on every...
