    Enclosure grounding

I just use ⅜" inside tooth lock washers between the jack and the enclosure. They dig in nicely with no need to sand or scrape. They're cheap.

Anyone's got a good source for mn3011 BBD chips?

And this morning I finally get response from Win-Source; a small questionnaire for which to reply . . . . "Thank you for your interest in requesting samples from us. To help us review your request more efficiently and support you in the most suitable way, could you please share a bit more...

Anyone's got a good source for mn3011 BBD chips?

So here it is only 6 am on Sunday morning after registering with Win-Source.net with a brand-spanking new GMail account, and according to GMail . . . . . I now have 6 different cloud storage accounts, 2 MS Office & 8 McAfee subscriptions, 8 different streaming & 2 different phone services, and 2...

    Magnetron Unity Gain Issue

While you're in there, be sure to quick check the power supply levels for the +9V and +5V distribution.

    Magnetron Unity Gain Issue

Can you provide some good, clear photos of the circuit board and wiring? Otherwise, we can't see what you're up against. Also, have you double-checked all of your component values?

Anyone's got a good source for mn3011 BBD chips?

Update on my request for samples of the MN 3011 BBD chips from Win-Source.net earlier today . . . . . When I registered, I used a brand new GMail account and the spam has already started rolling in. So, I don't think Win-Source is such a solid resource to pursue such an unobtanium device like...

Anyone's got a good source for mn3011 BBD chips?

Just checked it with scamadviser.net for safety and it appears to be a safe site. I registered at the win-source.net site and requested four of the MN3011 BBD chips. Then I scrolled around the site for more information about the company. That's when I found an old familiar name that has...

    Parentheses Fuzz Capacitor Question

I think they would merely change the tone somewhat; making it sound a bit less bright by opening the bottom end a bit.

Purple Chorus (Analog Bi Chorus) board for sale anywhere?

I've still got this in my queue for troubleshooting. I have one unpopulated board that I've been going over (can't seem to find any problems with it). Next I'll be populating art to test the circuit. It's currently back-burnered whilst I get some customer repairs done.

    SMD Electrolytic Capacitor Hack

    Shroud, plastic-base, black-thingamabob . . . . . . . . . any of those ought to suffice. 🧐

    Creamery Compressor Troubleshooting

Challenge accepted . . . . All pots are W100K and the off-board wiring is identical on all three finished pedals. It's the middle board that seems to work as it should.

    Creamery Compressor Troubleshooting

Finished building out three of the Creamery Compressors and they all perform differently. One works as I suspect it ought to. The other two have different control (pots) issues. In one, the Compression pot seems to do nothing, the Level (volume?) seems quite weak, and the Attack really kicks...

OptoComp (GPCB Squishy Octopus - DOD 280 clone)

IMO, it tends to dampen the highs. Might be able to correct that by futzing with some cap values. 🤷‍♂️

OptoComp (GPCB Squishy Octopus - DOD 280 clone)

Nice optical compressor circuit from GuitarPCB, their "Squishy Octopus" board (DOD 280 Compressor clone). As it says on the label "squishy"! I'm guessing it's the reactance timing of the optic coupler.

Alternative PCB for Pythagoras circuit at PCBWay.com

No. Pitch-Shifting is where the FV-1 falls short. It does not possess the processing power to conduct Pitch-Shifting without added latency.

    Headphone Amp with Reverb

Just finished up a custom PPCB combo build for my grandson. Using PPCB's Heaphne Amp and their Gravitation Reverb boards, I put together this nice little unit so he could practice without disturbing his neighbors. The 'Stereo Spread' is a nice feature and WOW does it get loud. The added reverb...

The EEPROM chip is an external source of FV-1 patches (algorithms) and does not interact with the internal patches of the FV-1 in any way. The internal patches cannot be changed - except to transfer them to an EEPROM , from which they can then be extracted, massaged & edited and then placed back...
