OK, I just removed the resistor from the love my switches pre-wired LED. I can confirm that the light seems to work better now. Before you had to turn everything up to max in order to get the light working. Now it lights up as it should.

Also I found my first problem with Tayda... one of the screws was badly stripped (not by me) and luckily I had MXR style screws on hand

Here’s a photo for posterity. Both LEDs are orientated the same way in other words negative toward the outside of the PCB. They are both red and they both light up to clip.

Phil I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. I removed all of the N414 eights. Looks like now the red bulb does light up. I put a different color in the other one which is orange and that one does not light up.

Well, once I start desoldering this board’s gonna be junk. So I may just have to give up on my dream of a clipping light for now.

So then, instead of mixing N4148 with an LED I should just have two LEDs?

I did try that and I tried several different bulbs that are good. It won’t clip it won’t light up.

So I tried reversing the light opposite of the N4148 but no light no matter how hard I play no matter how high I turned it up

Yes, I had the 100 U and the 1u swapped. But by the time I figured that out I had spent so much time soldering and de-soldering that I don’t think the board is useful anymore.

I think I’m deciding to do it this way. Unless you guys see anything wrong with it.
