Fasel Inductor sources in a post-Mammoth world

Now I feel really dumb, having ordered Small Bear about 15 minutes prior to this post. D'oh. Wonder how I missed that one...

Fasel Inductor sources in a post-Mammoth world

There was a link in another thread from October for $6 easels. Maybe it was Mammoths' everything must go prices. thanks, I'll saw Banzai, was just trying to get something in the US. Thanks!

Fasel Inductor sources in a post-Mammoth world

Does anyone know of any good sources for Fasel Inductor's now that Mammoth is gone? They had them for $6. All Im seeing is $15-$25 range now and that seems nuts. People mentioned DigiKey but I couldn't find anything looking for fasel or fasel inductor. If all else fails, I'll use a Yellow or...

    Chalumeau / Mid-Fi Clari(not) Delay Control

I broke down and bought myself a ZOIA by Empress effects. Last night I basically made a clone of the Chalumeau on it. With more manageable fuzz. Lol. But I want to try to SPST switch mod to the IC legs as well. Can you do that while still using a IC socket? Not sure if I can just pop the legs...

    Chalumeau / Mid-Fi Clari(not) Delay Control

I think it says feedback on the PCB or a diagram and then it says depth elsewhere. The upper right hand knob! But yes, I think that one has to be turned up a certain amount (past 9 o’clock at least like the volume) to get the delay and pitch to really start having a noticeable effect. I...

    Chalumeau / Mid-Fi Clari(not) Delay Control

Yes that’s correct. It took me a minute to catch that when I was trying it out. There also is a minimum level the volume has to be at (at least 9 o’clock) for it to kick in the effects. Same for the feedback pot as well.

Which inductor did you use? Where did you source it from? Just about to start ordering parts for mine.

    Easy open enclosures?

There always the 9v adapters that have the screw on the inside so that you don’t have to solder it. It all slides through the nut itself.

    Best metal pedals?

Is that freedom rock? Well turn it up!! ?? I love classic rock. Just expanding my palette from a half dozen fuzzes.

    Best metal pedals?

I have a Fender Blues Deluxe and a solid state Marshall combo I run stereo. I run both into the normal inputs and skip the FX loops. The Fender is great for pedals.

    Best metal pedals?

(Un)Fortunately the VH4 and a bunch of stuff was sold out. I’ll give the Thermionic Deluxe and Dwarven Hammer a go and let you know in the build reports how it works out.

    Best metal pedals?

Cool. Thanks so much for all the quick responses. I’ll probably try out a couple of them now and see which one I like the best!

    Best metal pedals?

Any recommendations for a good metal pedal? I was thinking Thermionic Deluxe so I can scoop the mids some. Looking for a nice tight crunch. Thanks, James

    Hydra Delay Dry/Wet mix

Noon might not be a perfect 50/50 mix of wet dry. A lot of pedals have it closer to 3 o’clock for a 50/50 mix.

I already posted it to Robusto yesterday. Don’t know why they keep asking for it again?

    The end of Mammoth...

That’s a big loss. Too bad their service was really declining the last several months. Not sure what their future owners have in mind but we shall see. I’m sure the trade tariffs weren’t helping them stay afloat. Just last week they announced they were raising prices on everything due to the...

    Unused pedals

I’d love to see a copy of the slicer traced for a PCB. I have a similar setting on the H9 but would love to build my own chopper!

Basic Workflow Tips for Building a PedalPCB

This debate has been summarized as box before you rock or rock before you box? I’ve gone both ways. I usually try it before boxing. But given various ground issues and wiring shorts in pots, you might not see a problem until you box it up. You’ll end up doing both anyways. I’ve learned that 99%...
