I have a questions about the Vero layouts. I understand what links are. And the how the components go. But for a few weeks I've been wondering what the heck the red squares mean. however, i think I've figured it out and want to double check. The image below says 3 links, 10 cuts. I put two...
I've tried to google this and cant find anything. So I assume, Either its so basic no one needs to look it up or its rare enough that no one has felt the need to make a guide. That being said, I've seen various comments about these rotary switches being bad when ordered from other sources and i...
Love the choice of Knobs here. It’s just ties everything together. Do you hand draw these and then have them UV printed, or is it something else like sticker paper?
A friend of mine pressured me into giving him my first one of these. And given that it’s the fuzz that made me fall in love with fuzz, I had to build another one.
I really can’t recommend this one enough, even if you do have to buy a wierd W20k pot that seemingly only serves to make the tone...
Thank you. Outside of a couple a builds, nearly everything i built comes from pedal pcb. There's just a certain neatness that my brain understands more than some other pcbs.
I used to do an outline around the enclosure to help me get it right, but I've moved from that to including the pots and footswitch holes in the decal, and then just line it with that instead. has helped me get it straighter. but invariably a squeegee stroke will mess it up.
It is a labor of love. So much of a labor that I've started eyeing a laser engraver. Currently in that internal dialogue stage of rational me telling uninhibited me that i don't need a 1400 laser engraver.
Now I learn. I used isopropyl and a tooth brush to remove one the other day, but i was near the end of my bottle. took forever to scrub. Nice to see a 'soak the dishes" approach will work better
Thank you. I think I'm putting on too much glue. I used to use the little bag, but ended up buying a bottle and am using more than i used to. . Probably need to use a brush and get a thinner application of the glue. What temp are you baking at? I should probably look into getting a better...
There's a certain sigh of relief that comes when a build with this many parts works the first time.
I highly recommend taydas pre-drilled enclosures for this one.
If you're a fan of high gain pedals, I can't recommend this enough. The Be OD deluxe was one of the pedals that made me turn an...
This is the second time I built one of these. When I orginally sourced the parts, I ordered two of everything and then had the ics laying around, so I figured why not build another one of them especially given how much better I am a building than I was a year ago.
The end result is much...
The 5th in line of my so called 12 builds of Christmas. I will probably ramble a as I’m writing this to my future self as much as anyone else.
I love this thing. Id previously built one with two seperate boards prior to the combined version releasing. But it’s a wiry mess inside, and in a...
It sounds so good. A year ago, I wasn't a fuzz guy, now I have a Marigold fuzz, the Hizmatas Fuzz, a Black ash, a bumble fuzz, and this thing. And I'm not sure which if my favorite. I tend to lean to the Marigold, but this one is a lot of fun.
The fourth pedal in what I’ve affectionally started calling ‘The Twelve Builds of Christmas’.
This was a fun one. But I did nearly have a minor heart attack when I plugged it in and the right side and octave werent working at all. The LED just stayed on on the right side fuzz, and the octave...
I love the Friedman sound and have wanted to build all of the pcb’s from here for a while. Just got around to this one.
Followed the directions to a t, and there’s not much to be disappoint by. I do think having a noise gate with these type of pedals is damn near mandatory, but when you use...
