    MMBF5457’s and where they at?

I should have insisted on PIFmas this year to blow out the cold storage pcbs ... there's shit in there I have no intention of doing and by the time I get around to it there won't be parts left to do it with

    Propolis volume knob or trimpot

the 100K on the kay fuzz tone is more or less the 330K R17 of the propolis (corrected) now let's get specific ... the propolis is bleeding off more signal to ground than the kay fuzz tone and lowering R17 would continue to do that. Placing a trimmer there wouldn't be a very effective volume...

    Propolis volume knob or trimpot

It is based on the kay fuzz tone ... you should be able to google a schematic for reference

    Muroidea Volume

you can tell the differences in a couple edge cases ... no clipping diodes is one and the expandora forbidden mode is another ... when you're pushing a component in extreme ways they're going to act different enough to tell ... now if neither of those are your situation, you could pretty much...

how to buy separate components instead of kit

quit hating on my insanely large 50v 100uF caps

    Muroidea Volume

two things ... the rat's original design (can't speak for what you might have changed) leaves an interesting quirk of no volume with the gain all the way down ... not saying this is your issue but it is AN issue ... secondly, bad jfets CAN sorta function and sorta not. low volume is one symptom...

    Depressed when it doesn’t work

Every failure is a learning opportunity. I'd like to know more about what you're doing when you've discovered that you failed.

    Depressed when it doesn’t work

and to keep it 100 ... I learned my lesson early thanks to mammoth electronics' infamously janky order fulfillment errors ... there's nothing like losing business because your supplier is manned by Okies

    Depressed when it doesn’t work

you didn't learn the lesson of measuring the parts you work with? You've seen my bench ... the multimeter isn't on the table for instagram fluke flexing

    MMBF5457’s and where they at?

saw this post, saw my parts list for my delay needing a 5457 ... immediately ordered 8 from aionfx you guys gotta quit using up all the good stuff on your crappy builds

    Multi Rat

you'll want series resistance on the ruetz mod or you're going to have a bad time when the pot is 0R remember that those resistors don't just form a second order filter, they also set gain ... you'll end up with something closer to the forbidden setting on the expandora if you keep it as-is...

    Solder Sponge

that's kinda what I figured, I'll upgrade to one of those fancy ones from weller or hakko eventually

    Solder Sponge

Anybody else use the copper scotch brite scrubbing pads as a solder sponge? The natural sponges that came with my hardware were ... well ... nursing home fodder and I didn't feel like ordering more from Bezos so I went under the kitchen sink for a solution ... works pretty great so far, I assume...

RG Keen – Panning For Fun Question

as there is no accommodation for phase conflict between the effects loop and the input signal, whatever is in the loop will need to not invert the phase

    Fender Deville Mods List

I know this hoarder type with a house full of shitty amps (shopahol is an addictive drug) that he wanted modded to sound better and, for a while, I did the work including the amp in question ... eventually I told him to stop bringing me this stuff, get over the cost of it, and buy a silverface...

Rat version of a palisades pedal

it would be much harder to isolate the expandora's envelope pieces into something you could switch in/out efficiently but more or less, yes

Rat version of a palisades pedal

should be fairly easy to accomplish ... need a rotary breakout board for clipping diodes (none, bat4x, 1n914, mosfet+bat4x, LED would give you all flavors ... couple more positions would cover the asym stuff like the rattler) ... bound to be someone selling that like fuzzdog or maybe an oshpark...
