    War Scythe: "Butcherbird Fuzz"

I love shrikes. I wanted to make it our school emblem instead of (yawn) the Bald Eagle

SOLVED quick question pcb mount 9v barrel jacks

I couldn't access your link, by the way. continuity: square pad does connect to the anode end of the 4001 diode, ground to the cathode/stripe end. Everything current flow seems as it should, but I still get ticking and no signal. It's a good idea to do a voltage probe to see if in fact I'm...

I forgot to say that I tried that first off and same deal

SOLVED quick question pcb mount 9v barrel jacks

Built the Moonn "Cyberpunk Touch" and "Drone a Little Drone", but forgot to order pcb mount barrel jacks. So, I just soldered in some wires from a regular 9v enclosure jack to the PCB jack pads, ground to the round pad in front, and hot to the square pad in back. Didn't bother with the switch...

    PCBGuitarMania Lemon Bass

Maybe not a scam, maybe just incompetence. Check out the facebook video I posted in a discussion. He does seem fairly earnest and remorseful. I don't know what precipitated a crisis in his world, but it seems like there is one. Maybe bad reviews threatening his multi-million cents PCBs...

    Space is Fun Reverb (Moonn)

The Moonn Space is Fun? Yes indeed. Works as intended. Not particularly fussy. I have Drykill and feedback on footswitch. One thing to note is that Moonn often inverts the order of the in/out pads to what we are usually used to. Can't remember if Space is Fun does that or if that would...

    The excavation has begun....

Oh wait, he uses the BK Butler pedal also titled "Tube driver." Available here as "Mosfet driver." Sorry, got too excited, there.

Help: Sunn Beta Preamp Mid-Freq Mod

there's always equalizer pedals you can run in tandem with the Sunn to boost specific mids, or things like the acrobat and harmonic energizer that you could rock with as well. You might just put everything in one enclosure and call it a day.

Boutique Pedal Manufacturers Are Feeling the Tariff Pinch

Except that in the current politics of the US, it's a minority that is attempting and succeeding in imposing a radical right wing consensus and political reality as the status quo. They literally want to move the United States backwards to before the great depression or earlier in some aspects...

    General Tso Troubleshooting

    Général Tso, i’m stuck

Could you possibly post a pic of the board with offboard connections as well? This board has peculiar wiring, so it could be just as simple as that. You also have to cover the LDR/LED assembly while testing the circuit to prevent the intrusion of light other than the LED. When you say...

    Epic fail recovery (L4 functioning)

My fair Canadian brother, It's totally all good. Sorry for being unclear, I don't know how to do the drawing on pictures thing. I don't think I'm helping much either, but I am all in for helping my bud figure this out, and since I can't really speak to complex circuit analysis and diagnostic...

    Epic fail recovery (L4 functioning)

Well if you can see it on the 5817 (bottom pic) alright, I still can't. [edit: not bottom pic, that's the 4742; the 5817 is to the left of the rightmost switch. I don't see a stripe at all] IC 4 is upside down?

    Epic fail recovery (L4 functioning)

Right, but then the daughterboard wires are referencing the wrong/opposite connections on the main board. Like -15 is going into +15. No? I mean, my spatial reasoning can't be that off, right? I'm specifically looking at the pic in post 16 showing the full assembly and daughterboard...

    Epic fail recovery (L4 functioning)

Everything looks okay component and orientation-wise for the electrolytics, but I didn't check resistor values--except I can't see the 5817 stripe on either shot--could that be it? If not, I'd doublecheck that the Traco module is a correctly compatible one. Maybe check for continuity between...

    Epic fail recovery (L4 functioning)

Well, you could just go troubleshooting ham on the breakout board since it's so limited. I would do ALL the probes (except audio) Can we get closeups on both sides? My guess would be something polar that's flipped or off-spec --maybe even the Traco module--maybe a trace or short issue...

    Epic fail recovery (L4 functioning)

Mine is wholly dysfunctional around the compressor. Like not-good signal grodyfiying distortion dysfunction. But that's a totally separate thread... Go, go, mybud, go!!
