Moonn Big Bass Bro (W&C Suppa Phat Phuk and Phull Phat Double Phuk)

My first vero project was a Phat Phuk B and I have really enjoyed that pedal for my hint of grit tones. With the bias backed off its pretty clean so it's also very nice as a boost that adds a fair amount of coloring to the sound. It's designed more to be a grimey bass booster than a real dirt...

    Thumbucker Compressor (ValveWizard Engineers Thumb)

I was going to say, this is nothing compared to when you first got in to the diying of pedals.

    NEIN! (Fairfield Circuitry ~900 Fuzz)

It's pretty cool but he and I both kind of hate the plastic kalimba-esque tines on the front right. I'm trying to talk him into removing those and putting something like the moonn Drone a Little Drone in that place. The rest of it is great though, my favorite part being the long antennae when...

    NEIN! (Fairfield Circuitry ~900 Fuzz)

I just spent a few hours auditioning pedals on my drummer's "auxiliary noise" set up. He has a kalimba I made with a cheapo transducer pickup and Leaf Audio Soundbox along with a contact mic he's been attaching to his snare with a few effects and a looper all on a little table to the left of...

    Whatchu sittin on? (chair thread)

I sit in a standard metal folding chair. A busted swivel chair sounds pretty fancy to me.

    Red Muffin

Much appreciated. That took 10 minutes with the brush tip sharpie "creative markers." I can do it again. I do kind of wish I hadn't started my "JHS always gets rainbows" thing because that means I'll never put a rainbow pedal on my board. 😆

    Red Muffin

First thing, I gotta acknowledge that this is a spite build. Spite aside, I kinda don't hate it. Well... more accurately the things I dislike were fully known to me going in to it. I'm not big on clean blended fuzz so the constant presence of clean signal isn't my jam but it is a good sounding...

    Creamery Compressor

It's time again to adorn the clown makeup, a comp hater built yet another comp. Thankfully it's awesome. I was resistant to building this until Robert got the chips in the store. I had seen a few folks mention it as being particularly nice on bass so I did a little digging around on talkbass. I...

    C2CE Steddi Go

My Nobelium has been my go to pre for a while now and I did not build this with the intent to replace it. I look at the nobelium as a platform for my pedals while I probably won't be attaching the Steddi to a board. Maybe a mini rig in the future but my goal is for a more minimalist recording...

    Taqueria not sounding at all

Move the red wire to the other lug.

    Taqueria not sounding at all

It looks like your input jack might be wired incorrectly. If so, that would definitely render the pedal silent both when on and in bypass.

Pedal builders REACT to this guy finally cracking the Spirit In The Sky fuzz

I might be picking nits here but the higher the note the less it sounds like the original. The low notes do the thing tho, respect.

    Trademark / Fuzz Bender

You got me sifting my stash again. I found one that's 72 hfe and .12 mA leakage that is the new favorite though the cleanup suffers some. I found another at 50 hfe .23 mA that cleans up nicely but only sounds decent with the bias dimed. The first one I prefer with bass, the second with guitar...
