It looks like your input jack might be wired incorrectly. If so, that would definitely render the pedal silent both when on and in bypass.

I might be picking nits here but the higher the note the less it sounds like the original. The low notes do the thing tho, respect.

You got me sifting my stash again. I found one that's 72 hfe and .12 mA leakage that is the new favorite though the cleanup suffers some. I found another at 50 hfe .23 mA that cleans up nicely but only sounds decent with the bias dimed. The first one I prefer with bass, the second with guitar...
