    Old World Paragon

Here you go! :) You might need to update it to match the drill template for the latest Pro-10 combo board. This one was made before that one existed. I did this one using the two separate Pro-10 boards. https://www.dropbox.com/s/vjdb4tqg5s5qvjd/Pro10_OD-Template.ai.zip?dl=0

Kliche Ge Diodes which ones do you go with?

I went with some D9E's. They result in a tad softer clipping which, to me, sounds a bit better. Along with that, I use a 6n8 instead of a 3n9 for C15. The combination of these two little mods results in a slightly softer, less treble-y tone. Not quite as bright as a stock Klon basically. I...

Pro-10? Or Paragon? I'd be happy to share my files so you can see how they were done. :D

Flock Harmonizing Fuzz - Arriving Soon!!!

With boards that use rotary switches, I typically mount the pots to the board first by spot soldering the center pin a bit to hold it in place. I don't typically mount it flush to the board but instead just enough for the pin to stick up a bit off the PCB. From there, I add the rotary switch to...

Flock Harmonizing Fuzz - Arriving Soon!!!

Other than the updated rotary, if everything else is the same, I'll be happy to just stick with the first revision. No biggie. :) Good tip on the pots. I might end up using the longer lead pots for mine to avoid any issues with the height.

Which King of Tone do you have?

I’ve built a KoT (Paragon) and a Protein (Pro-10). I also built a PoT (AionFX Achilles) and a King Tone Heavyhand (AionFX Xiphos). I ended up deciding on the use of individual pedals so that I can mix and match for more varied tones. The mix of a PoT with a Heavyhand is quite good. I also have a...

    Restoring Rocket Sockets

I'm in the same boat. I did buy a new set recently but haven't started using it yet. I think what I'll end up doing is using a file or the like to file down each of them to where they're more usable again and use some sandpaper to smooth them out. That to me would be better than taking a saw to...

Black Mirror VII: Obsidius on steroids!

Nah, never did figure it out. I got a Darkglass Alpha Omega that has more or less replaced it. Not sure the DI really had anything to do with it. Gah, who knows. 🤪

    Pedalhacker on Vacation?

Yeah, he can sometimes be really quick but also be delayed a bit. I had one order that took a good two weeks or so to process. He was really cool about it and was super honest. He does have some health issues that can slow him down a bit at times.

    Sandspur Fuzz(Not working when engaged)

Yeah, I almost always socket just about every transistor for this very reason. Just never know if you have a bad one, different pinout, or what. Plus, soldering can easily damage them if you're not careful so...just socket the suckers and call it a day. :P

    MBP Kompromat

Oh, good lord. I was just telling someone about how immature we are on these forums. This pretty much cements it. :P. LOL!

    Honeysuckle Drive (CKK Scream Honey)

Thanks for the compliment man! Mucho appreciate it! :D As for the Hollow and Bold toggles, here's my two-cents on those... The Hollow does change the way the Tone knob works so you're right in that it interacts directly with that. And, yeah, mileage does vary depending on the amp. I found...

    Headphones recommendation

I have the Sennheiser HD 280 Pro's. Damn good set of headphones. They've served me well. Really balanced sound. Great for just about anything in terms of monitoring and recording. :D

    Tracing/troubleshooting a circuit with a MM

Egrenier has a good suggestion. An audio probe is indeed an indespensible tool. Now, if you don't wanna hassle with building one, there are some pre-built ones out there. Bought one of these: https://www.rattlesnakecables.com/products/rattlesnake-audio-probe/ It's a little pricey but rock...

Bellum Fuzz MKII-Germanium Transistors instead of Germanium Diodes?

Switching from GE diodes to GE transistors isn't the same. You'll get a vastly different sound as a result. Stick with silicon transistors with the same HFE range if you want the same sound. If you don't have 2N5088's then just use some that have a similar HFE. As for diodes, there are a number...

    [PedalPCB] Dizzy Tone

Good suggestion. Gonna try that. I think the diode that's in there, a 1N34A, is somewhere around the 500 range. Got a bunch of others I can play with so I'll try some of them. :D

    [PedalPCB] Dizzy Tone

Looks great man! Love the play on the name. "Wirbelwind Fuzz". That's neat. :) I need to play around with the transistors in mine. It sounds good...but I bet I can make it better. I used a combination of MP20A and GT402B transistors. They're good...but I have some recent ones that might be better.
