ok, makes a bit more sense with that. is there any magic to part placement or anywhere i can find some do's and dont's? im noticing im getting alot of noise through some boards i have made, even though i have connected the grounds to main ground plane. i didnt know if i was connecting 2 circuits...

Would @Robert know more about diptrace? I think i do remember chatting about diptrace a while ago with him.

So im wondering how to get different ground routes in diptrace. I see there is a common ground attached to the ground plane, but there is also another ground that is attached to the ground at some point but dosent clip to the ground pour. Can anyone help me out? Ive made a couple of pcbs so far...

hey y'all. so i want to build a stripped down octave pedal using only the octave 1 of the ocelot and the direct signal. how much from the schematic can i effectively remove to eliminate part count for a new pcb?

it was the scheme i was after, particularly the boost. i have an actual JHS at+ that i bought brooken and its the boost section i need to look at.

i did have a bridge on the one that just didnt work, but yes, both pedals and a number of others failed to test. i thougght i was in a bad luck spot or had a dud batch of parts, so i went through testing all components that were the same. but then i tested a pedal on my pedal board and vola!

it was the power supply. second electro harmonix 9v to within 2 years..

apologies on lateness i have had too much on to get to these. so i figured out one issue, bad psu. electro harmonix psu failed giving off readings. changed and alot of duds are now working but still the great sea that wasnt powering on atall still is failing. will check voltage levels momentarily

So the 3207 chips i got from china. These are place holder but they work - all tested in mini low tides and ce-2 boards. Underside of thr board looks fine- but i will post pics in a mo. I use 320-400gsm card with a doubled over carpet tape to fix to the underside on the pot. Never had any...

So one is not powering atall.. The other im getting a saggy power distorted bloomy sound. Hardly any modulation but i cant hear it proplerly anyway. Ive tried biasing the .. bias. And the gate but something isnt right. This top one has the saggy distorted sound. Not much else. This bottom...

hello yall. im making this and im finding it a wee bit tricky to get a 25k bias trimpot. on the bf2 scheme it uses a 22k bias trimpot. am i gonna get away wirth either a 20k or 50 trimpot? i could proberly make a psuedo 25k trimpot with a 50k resistor along the legs (1-3) what do y'all reckon?

brown betty or thermonic deluxe. my reccomendations for the brown betty are to look at the thermonic deluxe and make the necessary component changes to the high gain channel. absolutely stonkin.

i can hear a slight pulsing in the bypass signal with either a comp before hand or a drive afterwards. anyone else have this issue? is this normall or is it a fault do you think?

Yes, ive used these for a couple of years now from a reccomendation from TX pedals (animallizzer pedal)

I use 1n5817’s in mine. I feel its a more stable and true octave effect. You must have done something if you werent getting an octave effect with them.
