Do you still want to be able load a battery in there after swapping the power jack?

Pics of your build may help. You can always add a jumper cable. Are your ICs properly powered with correct voltages?

Could be a cold/bad solder joint. Can you provide some pics of your build? We might see something you don't.

Report back on the readouts for all 8 legs of the chips starting with the upper left corner and working CCW.

Do you have a multimeter? That will help check voltages on the chips.

Reflow your solder joints. Some of them look cold or not enough solder. See if you can trim down some of those some more for, you know, neatness. I’ve got this board in my backlog, so I’m hoping you get things working and post a build report.

To learn the basics of opamps try breadboarding a mini muffin fuzz (inverting) and a Dist + (non inverting). There are breadboard tutorials in the Test Kitchen here to guide you in the right direction.

Just so I understand correctly, if I have a buffer before a FF (say a buffered bypass tuner) I counter the effect of the buffer by putting a small resistor in series before the input of the FF?

This forum is weird when posting pics directly from your phone (assuming that’s what you’re doing). You’ll need to edit the pics, rotate them in any direction, save it, re-edit and rotate them back to the original orientation, and save again. Pics should post just fine after that

You may be right. I don’t have enough experience with leakage and Germaniums to confirm. I tend to just use more modern components. Maybe that’s why all my fuzz faces suck

Base needs some dc voltage to turn the transistor on and open the channel between collector and emitter. Take a look at a lpb-1 or muff stage to see what I mean.
