When the solder feels sticky you need to clean your tip

I don't think I've ever worn a tip out, I have switched types a couple of times, pencil tip to chisel and back to pencil. On my old Weller 25 I did have to replace the collar that secures the tip once.

What size rolls of solder are you buying? I've been using the same 1 lb roll for at least 10 years and over a hundred pedals? I'm just about to start my second roll.

The masking service Tayda now offers cuts way down on paint inside the enclosure, you still have to clean out the drill holes though.

The Remington stuff isn't Pre-Bond, but the tubes and more wire description sounds pretty good, seems to state it's pre-bond

They aren't the same, the insulation on LMS wire is thicker, I use it on builds when Barry's wire slips through the hole insulation and all!

The pre-bond I get from LMS and GuitarPcb it's the case, rarely ever get a stray wire.

On the next batch I'm moving the DC jack up (actually down) to closer to center on the E side, it's right up in those two pots where it is. Other than that, it was a breeze. Thanks again for the fantastic job on the UV design!

I have a GuitarPcb board that has a double throw 4 pole switch, that you could make that easily. Be happy to send you one, I probably have the switch here too.

If it's a straight shot I use header pins, small angle I use bus wire or clipped leads.

If you're looking for that glassy clean, build the Super Stevie Six.

I use LMS and GuitarPCB, probably have a lifetime supply of each! 24 gauge is my preference.
