    THAT 2159 chip supplier?

Wow! Thank you so much. I really appreciate all this information, bowanderror. I see Cabintech sells the 2181 so I think I'll give that a shot. Thanks again!

    THAT 2159 chip supplier?

Yes, I had a look through their Semiconductors page ( http://cabintechglobal.com/semi ) since I know they stock some CoolAudio products but there aren't any 2159's there currently. I appreciate the suggestion though!

    THAT 2159 chip supplier?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. Since Smallbear is out of stock (has been for a while) and every eBay listing for THAT2159 appears to be a fake from China, I just wanted to ask if anyone has a source on a THAT2159, CoolAudio V2159D or any appropriate replacement? I've been excited to build the...

    [AionFX Spectron] Meatball Mountain

If you do end up adding the Ext. Trigger jack, don't forget to cut the appropriate trace on the PCB! I almost forgot and it would have been a headache to do after I had all the wiring done. Sounds great! I'm looking forward to seeing it :)

    [AionFX Spectron] Meatball Mountain

Thanks for the great comments and reacts! I got a nice private message asking about the Tayda UV print file, and of course I'm happy to share it! I removed my funny mountain graphic so it'll look a little more like a real Meatball :) On Tayda's website you'll only need to say yes to the white...

    [AionFX Spectron] Meatball Mountain

The FX loop is great, but one drawback is that when the Spectron is off, so is the FX loop. So if you've got a nice always-on light gain that you'd want on all the time but also not affect the envelope trigger, then having this separate output would allow you to turn off the Spectron but still...

    REQUEST Aion Spectron & Quadratron

Sorry for yet another double-post. I found even more issues with the rear jack hole locations in the drill template I posted, so I'd recommend not using them. More details on my build post: https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/aionfx-spectron-meatball-mountain.13577/

    [AionFX Spectron] Meatball Mountain

Hello fellow builders! This is one I've wanted to build for quite a while. It's often ranked near or at the top of lists of the best envelope filters. I had a bunch of obstacles during the build but it all worked out fine - and maybe have an idea for a useful mod! Here it is: So, why the...

Anyone ever reamed out a 6mm aluminium knob for a 6.35mm shaft? Good idea or not??

I've also done this before (with a handheld drill) and ended up with slightly crooked knobs because despite my best efforts it was not drilled at a perfect 90 degree angle. In this case, it's hardly noticeable unless you're looking for it but I'd still recommend using a drill press or some kind...

470 Ohm reading 390 Ohm all of them

If you have a cheap DMM like me, it may not be accurate with smaller resistance values. Do you have some 100Ω resistors to test?

    REQUEST Aion Spectron & Quadratron

That's my current plan. Between making the hole slightly larger (horizontally), filing away at the aluminum (but not too much to interfere with the screw post) and shaving down the side of the box jack I think I can make it fit. Edit: Success!

    REQUEST Aion Spectron & Quadratron

Hi, sorry for spamming up your thread. I just noticed an issue with the drill template I sent in my first reply. I hadn't taken the screw posts into consideration and just copied the hole locations from Aion's template, so now my In and Out jacks will not fit. I'd recommend moving the rear jack...

    REQUEST Aion Spectron & Quadratron

Here is my drill plan for the Quadratron, but I haven't had this one made yet - https://drill.taydakits.com/box-designs/new?public_key=dG91TUVNSDN5aE1ONGd0VytrZGpwZz09Cg== As before, adjust your LED holes depending on what mounting solution you're going to be using, etc. I didn't mention...

    [PedalPCB Paragon] Cat of Tone

Wow, thank you all for the kind comments and reacts. I had a chance to try the pedal a little bit more today and I'm really enjoying it! It seems quite versatile, especially with the mods.

    REQUEST Aion Spectron & Quadratron

Hello, I can confirm that all the potentiometers and switches are in the correct location. I just started on the offboard components today. The hole for the DC jack is too small and I had to drill it a bit bigger, though. Have fun with your build!

    REQUEST Aion Spectron & Quadratron

I haven't yet tested this (it only recently arrived) but this is my drill template for the Spectron: https://drill.taydakits.com/box-designs/new?public_key=ZnJXYlREM1NSWkE1bHpPam9rek9kUT09Cg== (of course, adjust the LED holder holes & power jack holes as needed) I'll report back if I run into...

    [PedalPCB Paragon] Cat of Tone

Hello! I've been making pedals for a while so I figured I should probably starting putting my builds up here :) Yesterday I finished this fun build. I followed this excellent mod guide for PedalPCB's Paragon (King of Tone) - https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/paragon-pcb-mods.10487/ The guide...

PSA: Test your 3PDT PCBs after putting them on!

Hello, I just had a rather frustrating troubleshooting session and the culprit ended up that I had put way too much solder on my footswitch PCB when attaching it to the 3PDT, and it was causing the audio signal to short to ground *under the PCB* where I couldn't see it. If I had tested the...

    Restoring Rocket Sockets

Thank you for the link! These look fantastic. What do you use to finish/seal enclosures if not clearcoat? I'd love an alternative as I've also had the same experience with Krylon. Cheers!

    Request: "Hold" shipping option

Hello, I think it would be real handy if I could order a pile of PCBs to "secure" them while waiting for other PCBs to arrive in the store. It's a little frustrating when you've got an order planned except for one PCB that is out of stock, then when that last PCB comes back into stock, a 2nd...
