i've got the PPCB cetus being pushed by a frost drive (kraken and ice scream) and it's downright vicious

the end of that circuit is a low cut at roughly 160hz. that's what makes it work so well as a pretty clean boost that doesn't make guitar mushy. changing C3 to 47nf will change that filter to 33hz

louder pickups don't make the output volume higher 😂. but yeah, maybe a bigger pot. though every build doc says 100k

i have not, but it's reputation seems to be that it's VERY loud

it was R18, and all it did was raise the overdrive threshold on both channels. clean was crunch and distortion was absurd distortion. no affect on the output volume

replaced 33k with 150k, even with the volume maxed it's below unity

yeah that broke it. bass control is now volume and it sounds like a gated fuzz

it very well could be. I'm only familiar with passive filters, not cut and boost. in this equation, is RL the gain pot that comes next in the signal path?
