    Nobelium Builds Stripping Threads

Lumberg makes jacks, no pots that I know of If you are stripping threads on 16mm pots, you are going way too hard on them. They shouldn't be that tight

    IC Sockets

Round leg-round hole Squared/flat leg-square hole Otherwise, square leg into round hole and flood with molten lead. Or, use what you like. But as Jessenator alluded to, don't complain about 3 cent parts and equate them to higher quality ones. You have a greater surface area mechanical bond with...

Use them regularly. I prefer them for dips. Machine sockets for TO99, or solder

    IC Sockets

For leaflet sockets, you have to bend the legs at a clean 90 degrees. Once that's done, I have no trouble with them. Or just solder the ICs

Passive DI Box is this right

-25dB? What are DIing?!? Anyway, looks okay at a glance. Be sure to use an isolated/insulated jack or it will defeat the ground lift. Careful that the ground to the transformer body doesn't defeat it as well. And ditch the ground loop between the transformer and - input. Will whatever you are...

Quality of Life improvements for bulk builds?

It can be pretty clean. Recent gigahearts build that is 99% done where the drill alignment was just barely off so there's a slight Z bend to the headers. Ignore the flux if it bothers you. It's a figment of your own self doubt. 🤣 (or my past prime kester that was recently replaced) Edit to add...

Quality of Life improvements for bulk builds?

Not a fan of wiring either. Using extra long male headers for the footswitch in lieu of wiring is the way for me. If the PCB is tall enough, I'll align the PCB and breakout board in drilling and just use straight headers. You can be off vertically +/-3mm or so and it still works. For small PCBs...

Mini Rotary Switch (1P8T) - adjustable stops?

It's a $2 piece of plastic so temper your expectations and don't step on it. It stops.
