Full Kennedy stack is hott. If the mower service center gets a glow up I expect updates.

    Moonshot tremolo volume drop

Just to be clear - I'm suggesting you experiment with getting more light to hit your LDR. The easiest way to do that is to point the light-sensing side of the LDR towards the LED. If you leave the leads long-ish you can have some adjustability in how you set the gap.

    Moonshot tremolo volume drop

Resistors look good. I haven't built the moonshot, but on the Sproing Deluxe I found out there's a huge volume difference depending on how much light from the LED is hitting the LDR. The way you orient the parts has a big effect on that. Here's an example courtesy of @VanWhy of a more...

I don’t really do graphics or themes unfortunately. If I did, my childish sense of humor would steer me toward a butt plug theme, so it’s probably for the best.

Classic 7 drawer! Can’t beat it. I even made an attempt at re-felting that one.

    That lettering came out great!

Oh yeah, tons of respect for the folks drilling rows of holes and fileing them into slots by hand, but I’m doing it the easy(ish) way with an old manual mill. For this little batch of c2ce stuff I set table stops to cut the longest slot, then spaced off the stops with a series of gauge blocks...

Guess I don’t have to do some more reading after all. That was faster than asking chatGPT! Thanks Nathan.

I’ve joined the cult! I don’t play much bass, but it sounds nice as a DI with my baritone. Keepin it DIY with some tricky drilling and Posca pens as usual. The lighting in my shop made the color look all screwy, but it’s regular Tayda cream with a matte clear coat. So far I’ve been running it...

How do YOU clean your boards?

I use this stuff, but it's mostly isopropyl, so I'm skeptical it's worth the extra cost vs just straight IPA. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XDCRLR6?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1 I do prefer a condiment bottle over a spray bottle...

    Budget Baritones and Tariffs

I saw a couple reviews that noted remarkably nice fretwork for a guitar this cheap. Fret ends are super smooth and polish seems nice, although being a used guitar I can’t say for sure whether it’s been worked on. I’ll do some setup work at some point (probably when it gets new strings), and...

    Graphing FV-1 Filters Using Excel

I’ve spent a lot of my life working with VBA, and that’s one of the cooler things I’ve seen done with it. I try to avoid new hobby rabbit holes like learning FV1 programming so I don’t quite fit your cross section, but I would like a copy of that workbook. I’ll send you a DM.

I appreciate the similarities between that couch and that guitar. That’s a man who knows what he likes.

    Budget Baritones and Tariffs

I did! Three days after I posted this, a used one of the Jet jj350s I was lusting after was posted on reverb for $329 and I snatched it up. I’ve been playing it a ton and I haven’t done a thing to it. Really happy with it.

Solder won't flow nicely on some PCBs

Two factors that could still be different would be the components connected to each of those ground pads, and how much heat they suck up, and also the varying temperature of the board as it heats up and cools off. If you solder one stubborn pad that takes a lot of time and heat, then move a...

Solder won't flow nicely on some PCBs

I have had some pcbs that seemed to take more heat to get them to flow. I do a mental count of the preheat time before I add solder, then flip the board after the first few joints to check the flow through. If I'm not getting as much as I like I add some preheat time. Ground pads seem to take...

That's an incredible list. I need to add a couple of those to my wishlist.

SOLVED Butt Head Pedal Not Working Correctly

Hey @Robert - can you confirm which of these is the real R6? You’ve taught me to trust build docs over product images, and PCBs over build docs, but based on the build doc image it still looks to me like @greypilgrim76 has these two swapped.
