I have the same harbor freight unit as Robert posted.. owned it for the better part of 18 years.. I use a 3d printed 125b drilling template and spring loaded punch to mark my holes.... The drill press get them perfect compared to a bit walking on a hand drill.. I use harbor freight drill bits...

What exactly are you trying to do? Are you wanting to wire it as true bypass instead of buffered bypass?

I had different intentions for this one though.. One of the guys I play with live like to come over when we are playing and hit one of my overdrives on when we are coming up to big parts..... I was going to mount this one off my board at the end of my signal chain and velcro it to the stage so...

unfortunately the ytoutube vid didnt have a link to a schematic... it was more of a play by placement and where to make cuts... pin 1 goes to on of the lugs on the pot.... This one is wired so the signal is always going through the circuit as a buffer with volume at zero when bypassed....

Just tested it with my big setup and the pop i'm getting from the pedal is totally unusable... The pedal has a big range of boost and isnt coloring at all... but the pop turning on and off is huge... Going to have a closer look at how I can reduce the pop.

This is my very first attempt at building on stripboard / Veroboard. Saw a YouTube video of a veroboard build and decided to give it a try.. It’s a super hard on boost wired for the buffer to be always on.. To my surprise it fired up on the first attempt.. Pretty tight quarters on the enclosure.

let me know when your ready for a germanium fuzz face... I can sort a couple germs for you and send your way... I have a small stash of about 35-40 AC125's that do well in fuzz faces. I can measure a couple for you and drop in the mail.
