Instead of the combo you used, I used a VTL5C vactrol I had leftover from a Mutron 3 clone build (Fuzzdog) and it sounds great...

Lightspeed into a Rat

I'll see if I can get a demo up that sounds halfway decent! You can't go wrong with Fuzzdog. My 2nd go to after PPCB, of course. Never had an issue with any of his boards and they've all turned out great. He's an OG who knows what he's doing and has some cool circuits. Shop with confidence.

Mine also arrived. Question for you all (and a humbling one at that…50 pedals in and still don’t know f*** all). Thought I’d plop one into the dip socket on the main rat I use and no matter how I position it, no sound. What am I doing wrong?
