    MOSFET Pie

    That's correct

    MOSFET Pie

Modified from the available MOSFET Pie 2 schematic and modified for BS250s because someone on the internet said they were quieter than BS170 and everything on the internet is true so I had to try it. This one is cool, it doesn't have the woofiness of a regular big muff. Nice on bass it would...

    Neurocyton Bass Cut?

Mine is kinda flabby when bass gets turned up but I just make sure it doesn't get too much past noon. I love this pedal

    Fuzzduster (JFET Big Muff content)

Yeah I have gerbers I can upload. I think if you don't like this form factor you could also try building on the muffin board. Next time I get on my computer I'll post them

    Fuzzduster (JFET Big Muff content)

I stumbled upon @jubal81 's Fuzzduster and knew I had to build it. Then I decided I wanted a big box for it and and then I decided to use 24mm pots. Execution could have been better bit hey. Ended up with 2n5457 in Q1 and Q4 and j201 in Q2 and Q3. I subbed the diodes for LEDs. Only played it a...

    MOSFETs, N to P channel

FYI removing the zener fixed my issue, which I guess means I had it reversed

    MOSFETs, N to P channel

Hi all, I'm trying to replace some N-channel BS170 MOSFETs for P-channel BS250s and something's not going right. I'm wondering if this zener could be my issue, does it need to reverse directions? I've read that it's static protection. I'm trying to build this circuit...

DEMO Eschaton Preamp (Catlinbread Epoch Bias)

I was just thinking about making one of these or the secret preamp. It sounds like you might favor the secret preamp over this one slightly? I'll have to check the demo

Hissing noise goes away when pad is touched

That part is pretty much straight out of the datasheet for this preamp chip

Hissing noise goes away when pad is touched

It still makes the noise shorting those pins

Hissing noise goes away when pad is touched

It still makes the noise with no mic plugged in. It seems like if I have phantom power on, touching the pad actually produces more noise. I also get some noise if I touch the top of the bipolar electrolytic caps which I'm not sure if that's normal behavior. Like, clearly I have no idea what...

Hissing noise goes away when pad is touched

It's partly a mic preamp, yes. I'm going to solder a wire to this and mess around with it today because I have no other ideas

Hissing noise goes away when pad is touched

@Robert It's the anode of D14 in this schematic. I've clipped both of these diodes out with no change to the behavior

Hissing noise goes away when pad is touched

I built a circuit which works, but has a pretty large amount of white noise in the background. I've found that touching the circled pad with anything makes it go away. What could this be a symptom of, or what could be a remedy? I don't really understand how me holding a resistor with tweezers...

    Tape saturator diode compressor

I've sent links to all so far. FYI I built this in a 1590BB2 from Tayda. I have drill coordinates for the top face with the XLRs, and then I hand drilled the front face because I wanted to push it as far down as possible. Tayda drill kit

    Tape saturator diode compressor

I made it. I can upload gerbers if anyone wants them

    Tape saturator diode compressor

Adapted from DIYRE's color module and this site: Link I need to do some recording or reamping to get a full sense of this thing but at first glance I like it. I might just use it on everything, it seems pretty clean when set low on the soft setting.

    The Creamery Compressor & noise

I love this compressor. It feels the best to play for what I do. The only issue I have with it is that it's a little bit noisy (at least my build is). Noisy as in a faint white noise type of sound, regardless of the guitar signal. Is there anything we can do to attempt to mitigate this...

    Crap-fi Delay

Wow this thing is noisy. At first it sounded like something was broken until I realized the repeats knob is backwards. I think this will be nice in my vocal chain Gerbers available if anyone needs boards. I don't remember who I got this schematic from but thank you
