    JLCPCB production stalled out

Has anybody ever had a pcb design they submitted to JLC stall out during production? I submitted 2 at the same time, one is complete and has been shipped out. The other has been in the silkscreen process for three days, according to their production tracker. Seems kind of odd and I’ve never...

Any PPCB or other Boss DD-3 (digital delay) clones?

Big fan and long time user of an OG DD-3 here. I can’t speak for FV-1 but, I can tell you that nothing in the pt2399 realm has the repeat degradation like the DD-3. I’ve built and tried many. The pt2399 is its own thing just as the Boss proprietary dsp used in their delays is its own thing.

Byzantium Flanger works for approximately 30 seconds each time I plug the power in.

https://docs.pedalpcb.com/schematic/Schematic-Byzantium-WIP.png Are your manual and res pots insulated so that they’re not touching any solder connections?

Byzantium Flanger works for approximately 30 seconds each time I plug the power in.

Can you post some clear pictures of the top and bottom sides of your pcbs so we know what we’re looking at?

How do I use my multimeter (it has hz setting) to measure the clock frequency on the Byzantium Flanger?

Yes. Ground the black probe somewhere. I tend to stick the black probe in the enclosure screw hole or alligator clip it to the input or output jack sleeve. Red probe to the test point.

    BTF Chorus (Boss CE-2)

In my quest to push myself further with pcb design, I decided to go into the world of BBDs. For my first attempt, I went with a boss CE-2. A little more complex than the Small Clone but, still a right of passage in my eyes and relatively simple as far as delay based effects are concerned. I...

    BTF Fuzz (Blackhat/GOTA collaboration)

Wanting to expand my journey into pcb design, I asked @Guardians of the analog what circuit he’d like to build or see come into fruition. His response was a Boss FZ-3 fuzz with more volume on tap. Armed with this idea, a few conversations with Chris, and some breadboard sessions, this is what...

Phoenix Lights phaser (Blackhat Boojum edition)

If you remember a few months ago, I built this very same phaser on a @szukalski / @Guardians of the analog collaboration pcb. This one is essentially the same thing but, I did the layout and had the pcbs made. I used Dave’s pcb as my guide and layout wise, it’s very similar albeit, a few...

    Blackhat Boojum Effects. Saguaro wah

That wiring 🥵. You’re welcome and I’m glad you’re digging it. You give me way too much credit though. I’m just a monkey playing with some computer software. And… If this were a college exam, I would’ve failed due to plagiarism.

Boss cs1 effect works, led lights when switch is pushed but turns off when released. Effect stays on

How old is this CS-1? On early boss effects, the led does not stay on. It’s a literal “check” light and only illuminates when the foot switch is depressed. If this CS-1 was manufactured in 1978 like the service notes you linked, this is normal behavior.

Does ANYONE make a round enclosure?

In all seriousness, I've never seen a round aluminum enclosure outside of the large fuzz face. Hammond makes round enclosures but I'm pretty sure they're ABS plastic.
