    Difference between 42TL013 and 42TM013

So would I be correct in assuming that does not mean a great deal for a pedal?

    Difference between 42TL013 and 42TM013

Hey all, so I am looking at a couple of different projects that require inductors. Now, some call for the L013 and some M013. I’ve had a look at the data sheet and I really don’t see any difference except he the size and price. Is anyone able to tell me what I am missing ?

    The Clap mid boost

It works very well, so much so I have popped one into my strat with a toggle switch to bypass it. Cheaper and imo an easier way of doing it compared to the fender version !

    Station Wah with Mods 1590b

After much need help for the mod and a very quick arrival from the USA to UK it’s complete. I think I was a little nuts squeezing it into a 1590b but it’s in there. Only thing iv had to do is file a bit of the back plate down to fit on. This was because of my poor choosing of position for the...

    The Clap mid boost

Hey man, I’ve built probably 50+ of these - no pop, albeit not on Robert’s boards !

Layout for Station Wah with moda

Can’t wait for the board to come, so knocked up a layout. I am going to attempt to put this is a 1590b, am I cutting it thin here ? Between the stomp and board is the best place I could figure for 3pdt toggle to do the Gilmour think. I am going to mount it on them little square alpha pots and...

    Station Wah Gilmour Seagull Mod

A while ago @Chuck D. Bones provided a schematic of how to implement a switch and volume to the station wah for the Gilmour Seagull mod. Here is the thing, my dyslexic brain can’t get around schematics and I can’t visualize how to ‘actually’ implement it. Could anyone draw up a little diagram...

    SOLVED Whipped cream issues

Hey man, all checked out fine. Something was bugging me about the J201s so I popped them off, soldered some new ones onto adapter boards and stuck them in. Bingo, problem solved. Lesson learnt - SMD sucks, always solder on to adapter boards which can then be tested and easily replaced.

    SOLVED Whipped cream issues

Hey there, no but it’s been soldered with a stand off between it and the pcb. When testing I made sure there was a clear gap.

    SOLVED Whipped cream issues

Hey all, I’ve built a few of these but I I have bumped into some issues with this one. There is normally plenty of dirt to be had. Basically the volume and gain is quite low. I have had a look at the other threads and tried replacing the 2N7000, same issue. I’ve worked through with an audio...

    UK matched JFET quads

Hey all, I am looking for a matched quad set of JFETs. Does anyone have an idea of a uk supplier - I am struggling. I know I can get them from AION for around $9 but the shipping is like $18. I was considering buying 100 from banzai and a dca75 but that’s a lot of money.

    Crazy Fingers Lonely Hearts Fuzz

@jwin615 Hey dude, gave it a good probing. It actually starts to get a little glitchy at Q1 collector - I’ve tried socketing r5 and tried a bunch of resistors to no avail ! Things just get progressively worse really. I’ve also whipped out C1 and C5 - nothing. Might have to admit defeat !!!

@jwin615 any further thoughts brother ?

    Crazy Fingers Lonely Hearts Fuzz

    Thanks for this dude - C11 is orientated correctly but I have just swapped it out regardless - no better. Voltages are: Q1 E 2.08v, B 2.76, C 4.2 Q2 E 3v, B 3.7, C 3 When turn the trim it goes between 3.7 and 2.2

    Crazy Fingers Lonely Hearts Fuzz

Hey there, checked orientation a gazzilion times. Which would be the primary smoothing cap 🤔 I am also guessing that the bias resistors are R3 R4 R7 R8 ?

    Crazy Fingers Lonely Hearts Fuzz

I’ve literally checked every resistor 3 times and they are all as per the BOM. The voltages across the transistors ‘seem’ ok to my amateur eyes. It’s really perplexing.

    Crazy Fingers Lonely Hearts Fuzz

Hey man, tried a few !!! 5088 in Q1 and 2N2222a in Q2. Also tried BC549c in Q2 (correct orientation) these are probably the 7th I have built of these and I have always used the 5088 and 2n2222a combo. It’s confusing me that if I reverse Q2 ie pi the emitter where collector should go, it works -...
