SOLVED Whipped cream issues

Hey all, I’ve built a few of these but I I have bumped into some issues with this one. There is normally plenty of dirt to be had.

Basically the volume and gain is quite low. I have had a look at the other threads and tried replacing the 2N7000, same issue.

I’ve worked through with an audio probe and there is a big volume drop at R13 (2m2) jumping that certainly brings back some volume, but not necessarily the dirt.

I am getting returns on all the transistors which normal for my understanding but pin 3 of Q5 shows no vaults. All resistors and caps have been checked. The back photo shows a hack up where I struggled replacing a 10m, it’s the same after as it was before, so I am happy this isn’t the issue.

Any pointers ? At what point on the schematic should things get dirty 🤣

Have you checked all your part values?
The film caps look fine, but I can't see the electrolytic values.
Resistors are difficult to color check off pics, please check the remaining part values, and then come back to us.

Hey man, all checked out fine. Something was bugging me about the J201s so I popped them off, soldered some new ones onto adapter boards and stuck them in. Bingo, problem solved.

Lesson learnt - SMD sucks, always solder on to adapter boards which can then be tested and easily replaced.
