    Bring out yer Diptrace

It's my latest attempt at a better tube tester. It's a giant mess.

    PSA Check your daisy seeds!

This is absurd. We call it "tombstoning" when the capacitors flip up like that during reflow, and it was one of the very first things I was taught to look for when inspecting SMD boards. That's rookie stuff. Also I would venture to say the pads are oversized and too close together, resulting in...

    Bring out yer Diptrace

After what feels like 800 years of working this I finally cleared up all my DRC errors. 481 vias lol

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

Yeah I mean it depends. I'm definitely at the point where most of the time it feels like a job. As far as jobs go it's not a terrible job, it's a job where I get to stay home and watch netflix while eating snacks and hanging out with my kids that wander in and out of the workshop, but a job I...

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

Can confirm, it sucks. I enjoy building the first prototype of every new design, and every pedal after that feels like a job. But on the bright side, I also spend so much time on it now that I don't have time for any actual hobbies. Or sleeping.

Adventures in UV Printing - Eufymake E1

I am certainly poorly insulated, though I also spent most of my life in San Diego so I still have my southern California blood. I'm a little better insulated now than I was then though, I put on 30 lbs since moving to the Chicago area as we have excellent food here.

I'm a 24 celsius kind of person. Anything below 21 and I put on a sweater.

SOLVED Acrobat not working leds blinking.

Nothing is jumping out at me from your pictures, but the LEDs are blinking usually indicates that your power supply is having trouble starting up because the pedal is trying to pull more current than it can provide. This usually means a short somewhere in the power rail.

I should also add that compared to AcroRIP, the industry standard UV print software for the last 50 years or so (based on the interface), Eufy's software is incredible. Honestly just the fact that the software looks like it was written within the last decade was a huge selling point. AcroRIP is...

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

Yeah I figured it was probably sarcastic as the answer is obviously "the average consumer", but ever since there was a glimmer of hope that I might see some money back I'm trying to be more optimistic. I will continue to be frustrated and upset about the situation in general, because even...

Adventures in UV Printing - Eufymake E1

I've never tried running it offline as my printer lives in a different room than my computer, but I expect it would work? I run mine wirelessly because my computer is in a different room than the printer. I don't mess with any of their AI or even non-AI artwork tools, I create everything in...

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

Apparently it's generally the carrier for DDP shipments. FedEx said that they've already started the process for refund and will be refunding customers when the refunds are processed by the government, but I haven't heard anything from DHL or UPS, which between them carried the bulk of my...

Adventures in UV Printing - Eufymake E1

I tried to convince my wife that we should keep the printer in her office instead of in my workshop so she could do things with it too, but I couldn't talk her into it. She has still given me a few projects to work on with it though. We just did some magnets with family photos and now working on...

It doesn't need to be super warm, but it needs to be within their temperature range of 15°C to 35°C (59°F - 95°F) and relative humidity range of 20-85%.

Adventures in UV Printing - Eufymake E1

Yes, that was something that I played with a bit a couple weeks ago. The cleaning cartridge also holds the waste ink that comes out of the cleaning process, which means it's possible for the waste ink reservoir to fill up even when nothing is being used. My waste ink was full after about 3...

Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

Refunds are available to the Importer of Record that actually paid (or facilitated the payment) to CBP. If you're getting something with tariffs prepaid, you are not the Importer of Record. I'm out about $5k from JLC shipments alone, I haven't bothered to add up my Tayda tariffs.

Adventures in UV Printing - Eufymake E1

Yeah part of what usually sucks about UV printers is maintenance, one of the big selling points for me was the self-maintenance. I printed really heavy like two days a month with my old machine, and that meant once a month I was purging the lines and printhead to clean out the hardened ink and...

Adventures in UV Printing - Eufymake E1

Nope, that is one thing is there isn't much torque vibration. The print is reasonably slow, but even my older faster UV printer didn't move much because it's just inkjet printing, nothing is touching the material surface, so torque from the gantry doesn't transfer to the bed. It's audible, but...

Adventures in UV Printing - Eufymake E1

I'd have to measure it when I get home, but that sounds about right, it's a big boy. Also if you're using the full size bed you'll need to have a bunch of clearance on both sides, so it ends up taking a substantial amount of space. If you're just doing one pedal at a time you can probably get...
