Current Tayda fees after new tariff?

Didn't the supreme court deem these tariffs illegal? Aren't refunds in order. Probably only to the companies who push back and not the consumer as usual.
Was ruled illegal by the supreme court on Feb 20th, but then the leader of the free world did that. So, back to square one :)
Meaning most carriers only accept shipments with PDDP... at the moment, shipping a 199 USD pedal to the us, costs me 93.70 USD in shipping fees, compared to 25 about a year ago

Seeing that shipping rate, I figured a large chunk of the cost was weight and size of the enclosures.

$600 for 550 transistors comes out the same price.

2-3lbs in a small box vs 2 25lbs boxes?
Was this to the States? Does the 2-4 day shipping not add a significant amount?

It's definitely not going to be worth it for small orders. I ran a few tests with some saved carts. The shipping does scale up to a better deal, but it's still a significant markup. I think if I were buying > 7 powder-coated enclosures, it would make sense for me.

SubtotalShipping
$66 USD$34
$100 USD$38
Still quite acceptable
My last order from Tayda was barely 130€ of parts shipping included and I had to pay 84€ on top to DHL taking care of the customs in Leipzig.....

Refunds are available to the Importer of Record that actually paid (or facilitated the payment) to CBP. If you're getting something with tariffs prepaid, you are not the Importer of Record.

I'm out about $5k from JLC shipments alone, I haven't bothered to add up my Tayda tariffs.
So who's paying the tarrifs? 🤔

Apparently it's generally the carrier for DDP shipments. FedEx said that they've already started the process for refund and will be refunding customers when the refunds are processed by the government, but I haven't heard anything from DHL or UPS, which between them carried the bulk of my shipments during the time the tariffs were collected.

@vigilante398 — Thank you for the serious answer to a very sarcastic question...genuinely. I'm deeply frustrated by the state of things and I can only imagine it's worse for people doing real volumes. I'm glad there's at least some hope of recovering your costs.
Yeah I figured it was probably sarcastic as the answer is obviously "the average consumer", but ever since there was a glimmer of hope that I might see some money back I'm trying to be more optimistic. I will continue to be frustrated and upset about the situation in general, because even getting back all the money I paid in tariffs wouldn't change how stupid and shitty this whole thing has been and continues to be, but I always try to be as reasonable as possible about things, especially if it can possibly help someone else out.
