    Dazatronyx ТРАНЗИСТОР

Looks fabulous, I've always loved his layouts. I've followed Dazatronyx for years, he's definitely one that I consider to be in the "functional art" category.

    Bring out yer Diptrace

I've been working on a new tube tester design and wanted to start with a simplified version as a proof-of-concept. This is the simplified version. Took longer than I care to admit to lay out and route.

What amplifiers do you like for testing how a pedal design/modification sounds?

Champ has never been my #1 amp (I'm an EL84 kind of guy) but I've always liked having one around because it's not hard to make it sound good and it provides a very representative tone of what you can expect from bigger amps as far as how it takes pedals.

What amplifiers do you like for testing how a pedal design/modification sounds?

Completely depends on the pedal. If I'm testing something like a boost or a drive I need to know how it's going to sound through a tube amp, so I typically run it through something common like a Champ or something "pedal-friendly" like a Lightning (clones only, I can't afford real Matchless)...

How do YOU clean your boards?

I use water-soluble flux so I can wash my boards with water.

Gondwana - my quest for a DIY-ish IR loader

Mono, definitely going to stick some tubes in it and see what happens.

    Bean LA2A optical limiter

My secret is cutting out guitar time, cutting out sleep, and then bringing my kids into the workshop and giving them odd jobs so not only do I have more time to build, but pedal time is also family time.

    What's on the workbench?

*adds extra pads in parallel with C10 so another capacitor can be added to increase value* *piggybacks a capacitor on top of C10 just for fun*

Stuff you wanted to know but were afraid to ask

As long as you keep them electrically isolated there's no reason you couldn't, it would just be a little difficult to mount them securely.

    Whatchu sittin on? (chair thread)

We got new stools in one of the labs at work and they seemed super nice, really comfortable and lots of features, so I looked up the model number so I could grab one for the workshop. Apparently they're $2500. My butt is not that important.

    Whatchu sittin on? (chair thread)

I originally got this one for myself, but since my wife works with me on pedals now it turns out I actually got it for her. I'll probably pick up another one soon as the harbor freight stool I've been sitting on for 5 years is wearing out.

Gondwana - my quest for a DIY-ish IR loader

After four years and three attempts at hiring outside help I finally got a working prototype. Still needs a little work before it's ready for the big time, but it's very very close.

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

And that would be important if we had people in power who actually cared what they were legally allowed to do.

    DIY All Tube Pedal

Transformer selection is the worst part of flyback design in my opinion. I'm in the process of revising a design that I did so I can get more current out of it and I'm doing everything I can to avoid changing the transformer because it's an OTS part and I know it works 😆 I'm not a power supply...

    DIY All Tube Pedal

Board looks great! Can I ask what machine you're milling with? There aren't a ton of us on here, but I think there are enough CNC users we should probably start a thread for it. 450VDC at 50mA is doable, but not trivial. You're almost definitely getting into flyback territory. The nixie supply...

    DIY All Tube Pedal

Looks like a cool idea! As a general rule if something is in build reports I expect to see something that has already been built, projects in development usually hang out in the "Open Discussion" section. Looking forward to seeing how it comes out!

    Power Filter Section

Effectrode is the only pedal company I'm aware of that uses a relay for polarity protection.

OP is asking (in Spanish) if there's someone willing to design a PCB and generate gerber files for them.

    Reamp Box

Lightning Boy transformers are handmade in New York by a dude with a lot of studio gear experience. I don't think he likes me very much since I got a new transformer supplier, but I used his MC15 transformers for my D.I. builds for a long time and they're great, I would put them right up there...

Tungsten Preamp - another weird D.I. thing

Not very many tubes in that one, I think. Build looks fabulous though, I love the gold on green look.
