IC7. Pin 8 looks like something is going on there. Maybe it's the socket leaf spring.

Did you soldered the headers yourself ? Could the heat have caused this ?

Look for the ones that look like like that to start

Take the pot caps on the pots and put them on the 2 under the board, they need it the most

To hold them in place before soldering, as in, you insert it through the holes, flip the board over to solder, and they stay in there instead of falling on your bench or floor (where they would hide with their legs up until you finally find it using your bare foot).

The 4pdt switch is like 4 independent spdt switches side by side. The middle lug will connect with the top or bottom row when switched. @Feral Feline has a lot of drawings about how to use switches.

Is the power jack wired center negative ? From the pics it looks like your star ground is not going to the center lug.

I had about the same experience adding a buff n blend on an aion board (polaris), lots of trials before getting it to work. That one does not have the trimmer... so I'll let others more experienced explain it. My first thought is it's function is to set the level (volume) of the signal sent to...

I think the trimmer is there to set the wet volume to your liking, depending on your preferred settings on the fractal. But the buffer could affect the sent signal maybe? How about phase inversion ?

Did you try the trim pot at full dry and full wet ? From the doc it should affect the "out" volume. Is there a schematic ?

I think the power jack connections goes to the center of the aion daughter board. Then after power protection it goes out to the board at the left. If you feed 9v on the left connection, the reverse diode will stop the current.

I guess you put the IC in after the pic ?

I don't see any trimmer on that board (sole have to adjust the bias)... but yes trying the pots could help you see what does affect the audio or not.

Have you tried to unbox it and see if signal goes through ? Electrical tape will get punctured by you cut leads, specially when thightening the pot to the enclosure, it's no good, you are better off with a piece of cardboard.

Here is the drill template I used for mine. Fell free to use. Robert told me that if you use a 5mm Male standoff paired with a 20mm Female standoff (on opposite sides of the PCB) you don't need any mounting holes or hardware on the outside of the enclosure...

Could it be Side A went through but side D is the problem ? Edit ... I guess if A can be edited it might be the problematic one.
