    Yet another Caesar Chorus problem

I decided to lay this one to rest. I tried all the trouble shooting I knew how. I checked every component value and they were good, I went over both sides of the PCB with a magnifying glass and light 3 times. I ended up finding one suspicious contact between one of the red LEDs and the...

    Yet another Caesar Chorus problem

Ok thank you, it's a start. I was hoping to avoid uncasing the board, but I really want this thing to work. I've already decided going forward I'll be building Sea Horses due to parts availability, but I refuse to let this one go to the graveyard lol

    Yet another Caesar Chorus problem

I'm occasionally strumming the guitar. You hear the clean bypass signal right at the beginning and then I turn the effect on. I strum the guitar every few seconds but you either hear nothing, fuzz, or the crazy squealy siren

    Yet another Caesar Chorus problem

I'll look into these things, thank you! I spent all afternoon trouble shooting as many things as possible that don't require pulling the board out of the enclosure so I didn't have time to make an account on a photo hosting site to be able to post pictures here. But I do have a YT account and...

    Yet another Caesar Chorus problem

I've read through every thread on the Caesar I could find and this specific issue never seemed to get mentioned to this degree so I'll ask. Also, I know posting pics of the board is standard procedure, but I'm at work right now so I'll have to do that later. I was hoping that maybe the symptom...

Is B25k ok when B20k is Listed?

I feel your pain, I also had a lot of out of stocks on pots from Tayda. I usually use alpha, but a few I was able to settle for the Tayda version and they worked fine. I also just built an XC Phase which calls for a C500k pot and I accidentally ordered lug ones instead of PCB leg ones. I just...

    XC Phase normal behavior?

Ok thank you. I wouldn't call it overly distorted, just not quite squeaky clean like it is with my neck humbucker and middle single coil. The JB is a good bit hotter than the Jazz and Quarter Pounder in that guitar so it makes sense now

    XC Phase normal behavior?

Thanks for all this! Any idea about the distortion issue? If it's even an issue?

    XC Phase normal behavior?

Thank you. Which resistor would that be? And I assume you adjust it by ear till you have something close to unity volume?

    XC Phase normal behavior?

I built an XC Phase and it's working great. The phasing is nice and working as intended, the switches are working as intended as well. There's just 2 things that MIGHT be an issue, but I couldn't tell you if they're normal behavior to begin with. I just did a quick test/trim pot tuning...

    90k9 resistor vs 91k

You're not wrong there lol. This kind of inspires me to go to thegearpage and start a thread about how I found a special batch, made only during 2 weeks of 2017, of Charlie Brown V4s that have a 91k in that spot instead of 90.9k and the 91k's have that special "something" that the 90.9k's are...

    90k9 resistor vs 91k

Thank you. I was pretty sure I'm good here, I just want someone to yell at if it blows up, burns the house down, creates a black hole, and sucks us all in. Fate of the universe is on you now :p

    90k9 resistor vs 91k

Dammit, Jack, you don't know shit!

    90k9 resistor vs 91k

I'm building a Van Pelt drive and it calls for a 90k9 resistor. I can't find those on Tayda, but they have 91k. I'm pretty sure I already know the answer that this is a stupidly small difference of 0.1k resistance to worry about especially with tolerances being what they are, but I'm just...

Does anyone have Tayda 125B end drill coordinates?

You should be able to load any 125b drill template and then remove all other holes from their program

Transistor leg twisting in Uber drive

This is exactly the kind of genius I was after. That works, thank you! I tried that without the insulation method above and it just made me too nervous that they'll touch at some point in the life of the pedal if I did this. A combo of insulation and twisting it like you said works wonders...

Transistor leg twisting in Uber drive

Im still pretty new and learning some of these tricks, so thanks for your patience! I'm building an Uber Drive which calls for 2 2sc732 transistors, but i had to sub for 2 2n5089's. The base and collector are swapped for these 2 transistors so basically on the 2n5089 I have to swap legs 2 and...

    Blue Breaker question

Does this build have the lack of output volume problem that Marshall's original has? I love this circuit, but remember it being a little shy on volume.

    Duck box filter enclosure

This can be closed out. I ended up printing them both and they do indeed match in the center of every hole minus the fact that the toggle switch will just need a slighty bigger washer to cover the hole.

    Duck box filter enclosure

Looking at the drill template in the Duck Box Filter build doc it's looks like this might line up with a Tayda pre-drilled 3 knob type 1 enclosure, just gotta use a wider washer on the toggle switch maybe. Is my assumption correct? Thanks, guys!
