I picked up the Hantek DS05102P ($250.00). It will do what I need it to do, but then again as long as it shows wavey, square, and other lines I'm happy and about the extent of my knowledge of how to use the thing.
I wonder if purchasing an Ender 3 and then the laser module would be the way to go.

Aaah.. I only check it when I first got it at 5v with a 10Ω and it current was .478..
At 9.0v w/2KΩ I get .0001 @ .009w anything higher than that I get no current reading.

You mean D1 and D2 (green/blue) they are both the same GE? the Anode is on the striped side and also their was a thread about the LED screen print where incorrect. Put it the other way the LED doesn't illuminates.
To me there isn't a different tone when clipping is off to compare to on (Toggle switch up position). The only thing I notice from off to upper position is noise. With toggle in the lower position I hear a difference. Also octave is very subtle in my opinion. I put my scope on it, but I...
