These look really neat, and Peter seems to really know his stuff, everything he’s made seems very well designed. I was very tempted to get in on the last run of them after hearing some cool demos on YouTube but I really don’t know what I would do with it!

It works good, I’m not sure if it is any more reliable than just wires going to the switch. It may have been slightly quicker to wire up though. I think speed in assembly may be its only benefit?

Yep that looks like it. I bought two in case one was broken. It’s larger than the ‘mini’ rotary that the dwarven hammer uses.

‘W’ for ‘Weird’

I believe this refers to ‘Center detent’ as I think the original pedal has a center detent on those knobs. Not required, just nice to have. if you can’t find W taper, I think linear would probably work for those controls (hard and soft).

I’m mostly a modern high gain guy too and I didn’t see fuzz as anything other than funny noises until somewhat recently when I started listening to more doom and stoner rock bands. I guess you can use fuzz in a lot of ways but so far I’m mostly just interested in massive earth-moving sounds...

I don’t have the parenthesis or life pedal, but I do often use a little tagboard green ringer octave pedal I made (same as the octave effect in the parenthesis) into a Rat, and I do usually get a compression of the attack of the note when I really dig in on single notes. I kinda like it.

The main thing I really hate about gooped electronics is it makes it unrepairable. Those electros might well die one day and then you get to throw it out. Very wasteful.

The FZ2/SF300 is such a brutal fuzz. I’ve been listening to Monolord a lot lately and it’s a great sound.
