Taming the treble in barbershop/chop shop

I like the drive character of the chop shop, but it’s too bright for my rig. Looking at the schematic, the input cap is 0.01, which is a lot of treble, does anyone have a suggestion as to what to change this to? Also, am I barking up the wrong tree? Would I be better off changing one of the...

(Solved) Duocast - which board revision do I have?

I’ve come to drill my enclosure, and saw there were a few different drill template revisions. I followed the directions, but I don’t have a pcb number on either side of the board. Any clue what template I should use? Thank you,

    Sell or Cannibalize?

I don’t think any of the parts are particularly valuable. Other than maybe the battery door!

    Volume Pedal...

Unless it’s an expensive one, most volume pedals are just a potentiometer. It depends on what brand of volume pedal you bought. Some might be more difficult to re-use than others.

    Help with transistor id

That’s insulating the legs from touching each other and shorting out. It’s just wire insulation, with the wire stripped out, slipped over the transistor legs

    Executive fuzz - Jordan Bosstone

Super easy build. I think I finished populating, soldering, drilling and wiring in under two hours. After a couple of beers! I built one of these on vero board 10 years ago and loved it. Didn’t have any 125b cases so I put in a 1590b. I was bummed about this, as I’m trying to have all my...

    Best Power Supply

I waited until I could find a used one at a good price. A used CS7 is typically around 80-90, but if you’re patient you can find them for around 60-70, especially close to the end of the month.

    Best Power Supply

I have been using a one spot for years with no issues. The only time I have issues is if I connect two digital pedals on the same daisy chain. Not all digital pedals, but the line 6 tone core pedals create a lot of noise if two are on the same chain. After recommendations here, I wound up...

    Marshall Guv’nor/Guvernator- no sound

Braided only! I prefer prebonded, braided wire

    Gunvernator Issue

I would try and avoid cutting the component below the solder line. The force of doing that can pull up the solder pad. Not saying that’s your issue here, but worth noting. Some of the solder joints don’t look great. I’ve posted a photo of one you should definitely re do.

    3D printed pedal badges

Probably not the vibe you’re going for, but if you could make these in a clear or colored mildly see through plastic, these would make great led indicators.

Anybody else think it's a bit disingenuous to sell Spin FV-1 pedals without mentioning that it's a DSP?

I think in this instance he mentioned they were designed by someone on his team named Josh. Not him, but another guy at JHS, rather than keeley. I have a feeling that Cusack is doing the guts for these though.

    Thermionic oscillation issue

I built one from aion and had the same issue. I lowered the internal trim pot until it went away

    Thermionic oscillation issue

Is this the one with the trim pot to set the low point of the gain?

    let's see your pedalboard!

I miss my old board already. I’ve had this one for 15 years, and only upgraded because I got a deal on my new board

    let's see your pedalboard!

I picked a temple audio board up recently that I really like. It was used, but came with the iec cord, a patch bay for ins/outs and effect loops. I like their system for attaching pedals, although I mostly still will use cable ties.
