Octarock with an oct up switch.

If you decide to build the Octarock, with a switch to disengage the upper octave, put it in a tall enclosure. I used a 1590bb. The jacks are as high as possible, and I taped the area where the input/output can rub the Pcb. If the jacks were lower, then the components and switches get rubbed, I...

    Super 64

Nice build. I like the choice of blue on black. I just sold a Super 64 today. Obviously because of some youtubery hype. Great little fuzzy crunchy OD. And yes. Very loud.

Tascam to release new type ii cassettes next month

It won’t allow you to press play and record at the same time. And one of the belts is a close approximation of a replacement. It has trouble fast forwarding with a cassette in the dock. But it can without one. It’s been years since I’ve tried any thing with this old girl.

Tascam to release new type ii cassettes next month

My Fostex x-15 doesn’t function. But it was my high school sweetheart. I can’t let her go. Hahaha

Tascam to release new type ii cassettes next month

I helped a neighbour move some old boxes of junk out of his garage. He found a few blank cassette tapes and said “ you want these?” Darn tooting I do.

Boss Enclosure to PedalPCB designed PCB So Far!

Jtex, you are correct about the jack placement. I reacted quickly when you said the enclosure would be the dominate diy format. I love the flat Hammonds.

Boss Enclosure to PedalPCB designed PCB So Far!

I absolutely disagree. I do not like Boss enclosures. In fact, choosing the location of the pots on flat enclosures is one of the benefits of building. Have you ever tried to turn those boss knobs with your toes? Also, top mounted jacks save so much board real estate. Have fun with the rehouse...

Recommend me a fuzz or something fun to fill out one open spot…

Oh boy. So many fuzzes to try. Good luck on the hunt. I personally love the Velcro sound. And appreciate the smooth creamy sustain with Muffs. This may sound a bit ignorant, but Fuzz falls into a few categories. Fuzz face/tonebenders, big muff pi’s, and superfuzz octave fuzzes. Obviously there...

    Modded Hyped Fuzz-boss FZ-2w 🤡

The octave switch…? Is it in place of the (r11) 1k resistor? I am waiting on some parts. The Hyped is on my work bench. This mod looks intriguing.

Cool Amp (Should This Be On the Wishlist)…

In the Albini video, he mentions the tremolo effect fading in. Is that because it is “loading” the tube?

What's your favorite guitar that you own?

My favourite. 2013 Gibson SG 50’s tribute. The neck is so comfortably fat. It receives 70% of my playing attention. The Epiphone gets the other 30%. It’s a 2013 Casino Coupe. Small body. Fully hollow. Feather light. They both come to the gigs.

What does everyone do for a living?

Please do!!! I love those kinds of stories and theories. As in, the inhabitants on other planets, like us, can’t travel faster than the speed of light. Because in this universe it isn’t possible. Therefore, any perceived visitors are from other dimensions. Anyway, back to the Job thread...
