Overcast Fuzz - Spirit in the Sky Fuzz

my original Spirit in the Sky Pedal arrived. Afer testing it, i relized that the chassis ins't grounded so the pedal has a TON of hum when engaged, especially with a single coil tele. The input and output jacks are the isoslated type. The hum is so loud it's unusable. i ended up grounding the...

    Gollum (Spaceman Rumblefuzz Clone)

I just finished this one and I think that it came out nice. it's a pretty cool bass fuzz. I added a PedalPCB relayed bypass to it. anyway, here's some pics of my build:

Cannon Fodder (Caroline Wave Cannon) Build

I just completed the PedalPCB Cannon Fodder which is the Caroline Wave Cannon (I believe it's the MK2 judging by the controls). I bought the original way back in 2010 and always liked it on bass guitar. Anyway, while comparing it to the original, it has pretty much the same distortion/fuzz sound...

Overcast Fuzz - Spirit in the Sky Fuzz

that's correct. i also use the 4k7 led resistor holes to use as a jumper to have a shorter path for the +9V lead to the relay board.

Overcast Fuzz - Spirit in the Sky Fuzz

i just do it since i test my pcbs first before mounting them in enclosures and it insures that i don't beak off a wire when doing it.

Overcast Fuzz - Spirit in the Sky Fuzz

i just replaced the two 2N3903 transistors with with two that have the exact specs as listed in the build document ( it took me 14 transistors to find the two) and IMO, it's WAY better now. Still not quite the Norman Greenbaum tone but a lot closer. I also ordered the original Circle Electric to...

    Acrobat Parametric Distortion

did you ever draw up wring for the expression pedal? i have an expression pedal with a dual antilog 100K pot but i can't get it working properly.

Overcast Fuzz - Spirit in the Sky Fuzz

i used 2N3903's. All of mine were in the 117 to 121 range. IMO, to me it doesn't sound like Norman Greenbaum's tone very much (either with my Fender Telcaster or my gibson SG)

    Acrobat Expression pedals?

i just received a Korg volume / expression pedal and i have a dual anti-log 100K pot for it with a splined shaft that fits the geared mechanism but i just can't figure out how to wire the pot so it works as an expression pedal for it. i followed the Acrobat schematic for the jack wiring but it...

    SOFtii (catalibread SFTII clone)

i like to stress relief the wiring so when i'm testing it before I mount it in the enclosure, nothing breaks. The red jumper on the main board replaces the 4k7 resistor so I have a shorter path to power the relay PCB. The led wiring holes are used as stress relief for the in & out since the...
