    Transistor Sockets

Transistor sockets are great for when you want your transistors to fall out when you stomp on your stomp switch! You can snap off three of these sockets and solder them in separately to make the situation extra janky...

    What’s really good?

Please don’t stop. Your haul posts give great comfort to some of us who hoard just slightly less than you. WHO WILL MAKE ME FEEL LIKE IM BEING REASONABLE NOW?!!

    Nein Fuzz 3rd Attempt/Failure

You lost points for taking advice from AI, but then you drew a cool dog, so I'm back to rooting for you. One easy thing that could cause only bypass to work is plugging in to the output (extra easy mistake when the jacks aren't mounted yet).

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

That desoldering job doesn’t look like it would be fun, but I bet you could find those jacks. I tried searching “right angle pcb mount xlr combo jack” and got some stuff in the ballpark. Does this ncj6fa-h look right...

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

My piano bench was feeling a little strange last night so I gave it a diagnostic butt wiggle and it deposited me on the floor. Cobbled up some new brackets out of aluminum, sheet rubber, and conduit strap.

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

Behringer 2600 This has had an occasional issue with sound cutting out on one side since I got it and it was doing it again today. I was wiggling a cable trying to figure out if the cable or the jack was bad, and while cutting in and out, it let out a wisp of smoke. 😬 The only problem I’ve...

    What’s on *YOUR* workbench?

If we’re admitting Oberheim related crimes… I found a Matrix 1000 in a dumpster when I was a teenager but I didn’t understand what it was. I borrowed someone’s groove box with a midi cable for a weekend once and got some sounds out of it, but I eventually put it back in the trash. 🤣 Ooops...

    Trash day archaeology

Saturday is trash day. I load up the truck and haul the week’s waste down to the town transfer station. On the way out I always do a slow roll past “the metal pile” looking for treasure. Technically trash picking is against the rules, but the place is lightly staffed, and their hearts aren’t...

    Hydra delay - no signal

That crystal oscillator look a little different than the ones I usually see used. The part number looks pretty clear but I couldn’t find it. Is it 32.768 kHz?

    Low tide

Do you get sound through when the pedal is bypassed? Does the LED turn on? I’d look for something that went wrong with a wired connection first. Post some more pictures of the whole situation too.

    Hydra delay - no signal

I’ve never used that style jack, but I suspect you may have wired them incorrectly. I think both wires should be on the same side.
