If anyone can shed some light on what parameters the dipswitches control or maybe like default settings for a Crybaby, McCoy, etc...please let me know. I'm totally clueless when it comes to wah's of the world. I mean, there's nothing wrong with blindly tuning it by ear, but knowledge is power...

Thanks! Yeah, I usually did too when I sprayed nitro on guitars...but I had taken the advice here and went colder which seemed legit considering you want it to cure slower for the magic to happen. I have some junky old raw aluminum that I'd like to do a test on at some point. I'll try it warmer...

Thanks for all the tips and advice! I just sprayed my raw aluminum wah enclosure from Smallbear and it turned out pretty well! I used Rust-Oleum Hammered (copper). There are a few "void dots" which is like orange peel, but they are mostly unnoticeable. I sprayed outside on a piece of cardboard...

And make sure it doesn't doesn't contact the solder pads when it's time to add pots to the board. Those deeper pots are bare metal, not shielded with a plastic cap, and the metal will sit flush to the side you solder which will cause issues. Check out figures 18 to 22 from the pinned post in...

That's so simple it might work. Pulling all but three wires out of some shielded cable (or whatever), connecting em up, then running the shield to ground points at each end. I just left home base and am on the road. Won't be back for a week, but that sounds promising

Yeah man. I miss living there, it was a great experience. So if I ever have troubleshooting again, like if my IC chips are good, I can say "gony geez a chip mate" and you'll know what's up.

Thanks man! I really want to build that General Tso but was apprehensive because of my previous unsuccessful attempt at the Guardian OD which also had no schematic and the problems weren't diagnosable in troubleshooting. But I'm game after seeing yours and others working! Very cool.

Hey, at least we learned something! And once I finish drilling and labeling a new enclosure I can add it to the mod thread with a note to not try both mods. Haha.
