I ended up using a BC309B in place of the Bc560. I had a few and the one I used was showing 400 hfe.

I have searched the forum but cannot find an answer. Has anyone successfully used a BC550Cinstead of a B? It seems the C has more gain. Also, has anyone tried using a flipped 2N3904 in place of the BC560? Thanks in advance!

I think this is the second of these I have built, this is one of favorite fuzz pedals.

I think I have a few C1M DG laying around, I could use one of those instead. I just saw in the forums where another had used the B1M in place.

Hey everyone, I’ve got all the ICs for this build, but I’m missing an A1M dual gang pot. I’ve got plenty of B1Ms — can I use one instead, or will that mess things up?

Performing some research on the forums I found that some have subbed the 2SK30 with a J201 and the LM258 and MCP602 with LM358s. Is this the general consensus?

I have my signal generator setup with the positive and negative of the probe are going to their respective test hole on the mainboard. Then I have my multimeter measuring the voltage at pin 12 of IC10.

I ended up drilling it on my bench, but I used the template in the build guide which should be the same measurements.

Just finished this one up tonight. Crazy as I remember, need to play around to see what all it can do. What is the trimmer for? Kind of sounds like it increases and decreases the modulation? This Gorva enclosure is incandescent and changes colors based on the light angle.

That FV-1 chip has some suspicious looking solder at some of the pads. I will try to clean it up, could possibly be legs shorting out together.

I have experienced some issues if you push it too hard into IC sockets. Those pins heat up and cause it to break down.

I love blue-tac, I have never had any issues with melting.

Thank you, I will have to check this out. I never really used Illustrator or any software suite like it, I guess that puts me at a huge disadvantage.
