    42TM019-R vs 42TL019-R?

Electronically and sonically they are identical. The only difference is the physical size.

Anyone's got a good source for mn3011 BBD chips?

Almost 3 weeks later and I'm still getting about 30 spam emails a day on that fresh Gmail account.

Mu-Tron Phasor II has power but no sound

If the fuse is good, I'd start with a full recap of all the electrolytics and any tantalums (didn't see any pants in the photos). As already mentioned, they tend dry out and drift in value over time. Then I'd check the power supply to see if it's getting proper DC values. If all that checks out...

Most elegant way to sub potentiometer with internal trimpot

Those would work nicely for the "Soft" control, but the "Tone" control needs all three leg of the trimmer.

Most elegant way to sub potentiometer with internal trimpot

I'd attach one leg of the trimmer to the matching pot leg location and fly the other two with small wires/jumpers; then add a touch of hot glue or Alien Tape to stabilize. Nice is not always as important as function IMO.

Love me some Tim Tam bars. I get 'em from Amazon. I wonder if anyone has ever gooped a circuit with chocolate. (?)

DEFX The Thing - first laser enclosure

Currently working on one of these for my grandson. For an easier read, I merged the two page schematics into one.

    Enclosure grounding

I just use ⅜" inside tooth lock washers between the jack and the enclosure. They dig in nicely with no need to sand or scrape. They're cheap.

    SOLVED Magnetron Unity Gain Issue

Anyone's got a good source for mn3011 BBD chips?

Update on my request for samples of the MN 3011 BBD chips from Win-Source.net earlier today . . . . . When I registered, I used a brand new GMail account and the spam has already started rolling in. So, I don't think Win-Source is such a solid resource to pursue such an unobtanium device like...

Anyone's got a good source for mn3011 BBD chips?

Just checked it with scamadviser.net for safety and it appears to be a safe site. I registered at the win-source.net site and requested four of the MN3011 BBD chips. Then I scrolled around the site for more information about the company. That's when I found an old familiar name that has...

    Parentheses Fuzz Capacitor Question

I think they would merely change the tone somewhat; making it sound a bit less bright by opening the bottom end a bit.

Purple Chorus (Analog Bi Chorus) board for sale anywhere?

I've still got this in my queue for troubleshooting. I have one unpopulated board that I've been going over (can't seem to find any problems with it). Next I'll be populating art to test the circuit. It's currently back-burnered whilst I get some customer repairs done.
