hey, everybody, I'm a stupid moron with an ugly face and a big butt, and my butt smells, and I like to kiss my own butt

I'll say a few things. First, get to a store and actually try out the amps themselves. Youtube videos have their place to get a flavor of the sound, but you don't know what kind of other gear they are using (mics, guitar, etc) or how it will sound with your setup. I've got a 5150 LBX and am...

High headroom Preamp Pedal Schematic Design Help

Once you get a breadboard you'll need to approach this project in stages. First you'll need to learn how to breadboard and transfer schematic to breadboard. You'll need to understand the concept so I recommend going through a few of these first. You need to walk before you can run otherwise...

    TPA3118 60W Power Amp Module

22 pages of this and honestly, don't feel like sifting through it all. Can this power a single monitor speaker using a 9V battery or "standard" power supply for pedals?

Right, cuz it CAN"T be your guitar that would wake em up.

The switch itself will last a lot longer. I think normal stomp switches are rated for 30k switches. Momentary is along the lines of 100k. Plus it looks cooler!

DEMO Frost Giant Little Acid Fuzz/EHX Little Big Muff Stripboard Build

That's some clean wiring for a stripboard build! Awesome job!

    Searching for guide/basic knowledge

The best way to understand what’s going on IMO is a “learned theory” approach. Learn about the basic (opamps, transistors, tone controls) and then try them out on a breadboard to learn what component does what. The below link will be helpful but there are a lot of items in there that assume you...

    Rat Terrier Build

Nice build! The Rat and its derivatives is probably my favorite pedal. As for the PHB, you’ll need to submit something in the thread itself to count as a submission. A link to this build report is sufficient.

Panspermia Fuzz - Problems when Guitar Volume is turned up

I remember breadboarding this a while ago. I too had to dial back the volume knob a touch for that sweet spot. It’s just the nature of the circuit.

    Is it contest time again?

Feel free to submit this as an entry to PHB contest I'm holding now. It will knock the current breadboard leader right on their ass. I'm looking for actual builds and circuits, not memes at the moment.

    Extracting FX10 tone control

I’d start with 1M and work from there on a breadboard.

    Astrotone on stripboard

Honor system, but we wont check. We just want people to build. Up to you if you want to submit it. I’m tired of just memes.

    Extracting FX10 tone control

You may be overthinking it. If it were up to me I’d add a coupling cap for whatever section you want to put before it (dirt of some kind) and add a bias resistor from 1/2 voltage supply. Instant circuit Lego and a good breadboard candidate.
